SO yes this Lisa Milan Burn Book does actually look as if Stanbury is a little obsessed with Lesa.
This woman seems to have serious jealousy issues with Lesa and Ayan. Did she secretly always want to be a model or a fashion designer? Is she jealous of their friendship? All of the above?
Lesa calls her the Wicked Witch of the Middle East. Brooks seems to be amused by that comment, Nina is not. Guess it’s easy to see who’s the better friend and who is a fucking asshole.
Stanbury and Lesa bicker and compare ‘attacks’ and whether or not she called Sergio gay, or that she is a fifty year old ‘influcencer’
“You are a fifty year old influencer…” well, true. Why is that even an attack? Except that I think she’s 46/47ish. She finally stopped making up various ages that she is, and settled on 46 I believe, while they were filming last handful of episodes.
Andy opens to a page of the Burn Book that demonstrates the fact that perhaps Lesa’s designs are not her own, since she accused her of ‘stealing’ her friend’s designs.
Lesa clarifies this by explaining that the photo that she has in her book comparing it to Stanbury’s friend’s design, is a licensed design that is available for sale. (much like what Sheree has done with her ‘She by Sheree’ when it was noticed that her designs were also sold on Shein and Amazon, aka ‘white labeling.’)
So it sounds like Lesa and the friend BOTH purchased these licensed designs, and due to Stanbury’s not understanding how the fashion industry works, was not aware of this.
They bleeped Lesa out, as she was explaining it, but I think that is what she told Stanbury to shut her up. She also explains she made some minor changes to hers to make it her own She tells her to “focus on your bankrupt business and how you can’t get a mortgage.”
Not hating this. Seems to me like Stanbury is gettin ate the fuck up here.
It’s reeking of total desperation to make Lesa and her business look bad, ane make herself look good. Stanbury looks sort of embarrassed. She should be.
A lot of time and effort went into this ‘book.’ It’s sort of reminding me of Wendy on Potomac with her huge poster board of text messages at the last reunion. Also seems she went to a lot of trouble, and it proved nothing and feel flat. Not sure what all else was in it. Stupid.
Caroline insists she CAN get a mortgage. Lesa fires back with, “the point is stop being obsessed with me, and focus on yourself.” Then she makes a Jeffrey Eptstein reference. Caroline calls her a former escort in Miami. If there is a winner and a loser of this spat it is NOT Caroline.
Especially when Andy asks her to clarify if she WAS in Eptstein’s book (So I’d rather know of some actual so-called prominent people that are listed in ‘the book’ – could care less about Caroline fucking Stanbury.)
She admits that she did know them and “was very good friends with all of them.” What?
So that cannot be good right? Andy looks pretty taken aback. Surprised he just let that go there. Didn’t even ask if she knew what the hell they were all about and what they were doing? She seems to think it’s not really a big deal at all. Am I missing something here? Seems like a big deal.
‘Who’s the richest’ discussion, (yes I’m serious) and it seems to be Nina. Lesa wants it to be her. Sara points out what all Nina owns as far as Real Estate…
Andy shuts this ridiculousness down by saying “you’re all very pretty and you’re all very rich…”
Andy addresses a tweet form Lesa in regards to Nina’s ‘fries’ obsession, and how she requested fries at her fashion show. They argue it was because there was nothing vegetarian. Andy refers to it as a “funny fight.” So you know if Andy is calling it stupid, it must be really really extra fucking stupid.
It then turns into the infamous ‘preconceived notions’ that Lesa had about Stanbury, when Nina did not like her. Haven’t we beaten this to death? Lesa needs to just get over it. She’s gotten to know her more, and she still hates her, and possibly hates her more? So guess Nina was correct in her initial assessments. Who even cares. If it is fake, so what??
Caroline admits she also “wasn’t fond of Nina” either initially. That make sense. Stanbury reminds me totally of Vickie on OC. Her first impression of meeting any woman is to just ‘not like her’ just for the sake of not liking her. Especially if they’re pretty and she feels threatened.
Andy tells Lesa she need to just accept it. I agree. Especially when you can see Nina is not this insane vindictive type of woman, not like the uzzzsse for the Housewives. It’s not like she was trying to turn Stanbury against Lesa at all. She was trying to get them to get along.
Andy agrees she tried to play the ACTUAL peacemaker and get to love each other. An actual REAL peacemaker, not a Kyle Richards peacemaker. (remember when she referred to herself as that beginning of season?)
They flash on Ayan’s scenes and all of her childhood trauma, due to these horrific assholes that raised her. She does clarify that her mom was not aware of what was going on when she was taken to have this done to her. Guess her so-called dad was behind this mutilation? She doesn’t really say, but I’m assuming that.
I cannot even barely listen to this. It’s so horrific. She was still closed, as she’s putting it, when she married Chris, and had to return to Kenya to get it reversed. It’s still even happening today, she said, in Kenya to her cousin’s kids. I’m assuming this it to prevent future reproduction. It’s terrible. I read something about it being done to girls in China also for this reason.
They flash on Ayan apologizing to Nina for the argument between her and Stanbury at her dinner thing. Ayan says that she felt bullied and didn’t get why Nina wasn’t standing up for her.
She kind of was being bullied if I remember correctly. Stanbury even blatantly said to her “I don’t like you…” (then acts confused as to why Ayan thought she didn’t like her throughout out the season…)
Stanbury admits she sort of had it in for her in the beginning of the season due to a story that she was hearing that they wanted to “get rid of her of the friend group.” Ayan denies it, and Brooks says “Yes it is true, I was part of it.”
They all start discussing how Ayan was referring to Stanbury as the ‘Queen Bee’ and thinks the show is going to be all about her. Whatever, that blows over. Think they were all feeling threatened and perhaps ‘less than’ because Caroline 1 was the anchor of the show, and brought the interest to doing a Dubai show due to Ladies of London, and relocating to Dubai. Okay good. Feel like we settled that.
We have a few light-hearted minutes talking about the kids, and Sara’s twice divorced situation, and Nina is looking for a man for her.
Blahhhh who needs em. Sounds like she has fallen down the narcissist rabbit hole, and tells her make sure he is NOT one.
They talk more about the Stanbury verses Ayan argument. Stanbury does not get the point. She told this chick she didn’t like her, and “can’t bear this woman.”
‘Suck Sergio’s dick’ comment is now the subject. Stanbury does manage to admits that it was inappropriate, but she was pissed at Sergio for not sticking by her, or whatever. Stanbury walked into that event with a scowl on her face. Guess she was mad it wasn’t all about her.
I think Andy really likes saying “suck Sergio’s dick”
A viewer question gets asked which is sort of a stupid question. It’s referring to Lesa being ‘hypocritical’ due to Rich calling Standbury a “50 year old influencer” and saying that Sergio’s always getting involved in the women’s business? How can you compare one dang comment to the way Sergio relishes in the Housewife drama, and even had to be included in all of the excursions?
You can’t. Stupid question. Never should have made it to the show. At all. Andy, COME. ON.
Okay so now a GOOD and VALID question from a viewer, for Stanbury. “How did you get so mad at Ayan for wearing a wedding dress, when you told everyone to wear white? It’s cape and body suit girl, just admit that you’re threatened by Ayan.” Ayan smirks, a very well deserved smirk.
Caroline maintains it was the “train with the blonde wig” that set her off. I don’t know if I would refer to it as a train. It was a long cape. Is that the same? I don’t know. And Caroline you do NOT have a patent on blonde fucking hair. I think she’s so insignificant to Ayan’s life, that she didn’t even put it together that Stanbury has blonde hair, and she might be viewed as ‘copying her.’
Also, again, it’s not like blonde hair is unusual. Now if Stanbury had red hair, or pink, or blue, and she showed up in a wig the same color, then yes, that’s creepy. Blonde wig, not creepy. She wears all kinds of weird wigs.
Ayan very humbly points out that she always looks better than everyone wherever she goes, so tough shit. And she should not have been bullied to death her at her party about it. I agree. And Ayan wasllllll nicer about it than she needed to be. Do you remember when Caroline like whipped her around to point out her blonde wig and train? That was just so uncalled for and melodramatic.
Ayan points out how different they look from each other. Caroline gets defensive and states she is happy with her own appearance.
I think judging by Caroline’s expression she feels embarrassed by the whole thing. Why not just apologize and say “watching it back I do realize I was out of line…” She can’t.
Ayan says the problem was that she out shined her. Which I agree with. I agree with, that is how Caroline felt and viewed it. The part that I don’t think is accurate, is that Ayan out shined her at all.
I didn’t really care at all for what Ayan was wearing. I thought it looked costumey. Also the white body suit sort of resembled a diaper to me. I much preferred Caroline’s more froofroo sparkly dress. Although I might agree it was a little young for her, I did still like it, and thought she looked better. She needs to stop being so insecure with these other women.
The dress talk goes on, and Stanbury is offended that Ayan said her dress looked like it came from Shein. Well, KIND of. But an upscale dress from Shein if that helps.
And it gets addressed, what we have probably all been saying. If you, the bride, are dressing bridal like for your event, and then you ask everyone to wear white, aren’t you in danger of getting some wedding dress- like looks from your guests??
Sara defends Stanbury by saying, “as guests we know we should dumb it down to not look like a bride, you didn’t know a train would look like a bride?”
Whatever, disagree. If she was wearing white to her wedding event, she should have actually asked specifically for everyone to NOT wear white. Or – I have a better idea. Tell everyone to wear whatever the fuck color they want!!! fuck. Getting sick of the color instructions at all of the Housewife events.
They bring up that horrible misunderstanding of a misunderstanding about the ‘investment’ she was referring to with Sergio. They all thought she was talking about money, which is what I thought the misunderstanding was. Ayan apologizes for the misinterpretation. Caroline actually wasn’t being clear.
Moving on to Sergio’s coming to ‘rescue’ Caroline on the LAST day of the trip that SHE organized (I agree with Stanbury here) so who the fuck cares. It’s not like he was there for the entire trip.
This of course leads to what Brooks had eluded to, about the white women verses black women thing. Which of course is not relevant. They made it about that. I think it was more like the husband of the white woman, doesn’t have a job or anything else to fucking do.
Lesa and Ayan agree with her, but Brooks was sort of the ring leader in making this a black/white thing. I think women in general are just supposed to suck it up and tolerate everyone’s stupid fucking bullshit. Especially men’s. Shame on her for making this a racial issue. It’s literally just a Sergio had no job issue.
Caroline tries to point out she too, she always had to fend her herself. They’re not having it. Okay Brooks, yes, Sergio came to rescue her because she’s fucking white. Makes perfect sense. Stanbury and Lesa need to just, NOT be friends. Stanbury is not all bad. She’s just most of the time bad.
Her personality really does remind me of Vickie’s. What would those two be like locked in a room by themselves? Would they bond over their immediate hatred of all women, or would they immediately hate each other?
The do some sort of (shady) gift exchange. Ayan says “in Africa you don’t to someone’s house empty-handed.” It’s sort of the same thing here in the United States. Just not goats. Or an animal of any type.
She gifts Stanbury a fire extinguisher. They gifts are all literally all shady as fuck.
Spoke too soon. Sara’s gift to Brooks is a trip to The Maldives. Whatever. Jealous. I love that they’re friends though. Sara brings out the non-bitchiness in her. Which is no easy feat.
