Summer House 4/11/24

I can barely stand listening to Amanda talk. She’s very immature and childish. We drag Kyle for his partying, and I do think he could dial that back, but he also works really hard and is the adult in the room in this marriage.

She continues to defend her plan to purchase a home for her to live in alone, while Kyle remains in the city at their apartment because she just cannot bear to live in an apartment for another minute (with him.)

She keeps referring to ‘the kids’ as if they exist. They don’t. They need to not have a child. That is going to lead to nothing but more arguments and frustration on Kyle’s part, as he has to adult and Amanda has to – not.

They really seem about as SOS as Carl and Lindsay. They’re just not on the same page with anything.

I think Kyle is truly worried once Amanda is busy with this ‘child’ she will be completely ignoring him, more so than she is now. He likes to talk, he likes to do stuff. She does not. Kyle has a point that he wants to be in a better place before a baby comes into the picture.

Amanda just wants to have a kid so she never has to work for the rest of her life.

Kyle seems like a good communicator and tells her point blank what his reservations are but she seems to not listen. So what good is a good communicator with a bad listener.

You can tell Amanda is completely missing the point when in her yap she recalls their previous conversations about moving to the ‘burbs after they got married to raise kids in the typical environment of a big back yard surrounded by neighbors and friends. These were convos they had before they got married when Kyle wasn’t aware what a recluse she was. Now he doesn’t want to feel isolated from the city, and isolated from a wife that doesn’t speak nor spend time with him.

All kidding aside, guys are big fucking babies. I see his point to an extent, but again he married her knowing all of this. Is it possible for him to just realize and accept that Amanda is quiet and reserved, and just —- you know – adjust??? I feel like women are better at adjusting to things they don’t like about their dudes then dudes are about their partners.

I’m tired of analyzing these two. You can’t change people’s personalities. They both married each other knowing these things.

Everyone at the table feels awkward.

So let’s move onto another awkward subject – wedding planning and Kyle’s flower boy assignment.

Lindsay said you weren’t allowed in the wedding party.

Carl again admits in his yap he was being a fucking pussy and letting Lindsay lead him around by the nose.

A little ‘Bravo Bravo Bravo’ and breaking of the fourth wall when the girls congregate and Paige asks Amanda if she’s pissed Kyle is saying this shit “on national TV.”

I thought we weren’t supposed to say that.

Lindsay again refrains from getting blacked out drunk, and she and Carl again refrain from getting into a huge brawl. Hmmmm – COULD they be connected?

******

Who knew we have two champion volley ballers in the house – Carl and Jesse.

We’re headed to the beach for a friendly, but competitive Vball game.

Just like we don’t know why Kyle wore Amanda’s shorts a few weeks ago, we also don’t know why he’s wearing a women’s one-piece bathing suit. He reminds me a little bit of Sandoval, fashion wise.

The game is over and I don’t know who won.

Kyle asks to speak to Amanda, and it goes not well. She’s still pissed about the 4am night. He wants to improve communication. She doesn’t care.

Maybe you could talk to me so I don’t have to talk to myself…

I’m a very social person and it’s lonely as fuck being married to you because you don’t talk to me.”

Maybe you cold fuck off and leave me alone!

I do see her as constantly pouty and removed when they’re home.

Amanda talk to him for crissakes, Jesus, so Susie stops crying and whining.

Good talk.

******

They’re doing the splitting up thing again. Some are going out, some are staying home. The two couples get separated so they shit talk each other I assume.

And you don’t have to twist anyone’s arms in the two dysfunctional couples in the house, to shit talk each other.

Is Amanda serious? Pouring ranch directly down her throat?? I’ve never seen anyone do that, ever. This girl acts ten. She doesn’t even get twelve. that’s too mature.

So we don’t have Gabby this week again, which I watched the whole episode Thursday night and didn’t even realize she was missing.

I feel like Gabby is the Alex of last year, or was that the year before. They just sort of phased him out.

Kyle cries to Paige about Amanda, knowing full well she’s going to report everything to her immediately. Literally cries.

I don’t think she likes me anymore.

Can you imagine how Carl would be feeling right now had they gotten married as she shit talks their sex life. I’m sure he’s still pissed and embarrassed, even though they’re not together, but she didn’t know they would be broken up by airing. So she calls him out ‘on national TV’ for sucking in bed. “No one came.”

Well not to brag but it seems my assessments of Jesse have been accurate. He brings a random chick home that he just met and they proceed to have sex, and he sends her on his way.

He wonders why he can’t seem to establish a serious relationship.

I thought all of the girls were so tired, but they seem to perk up when they hear a girl’s voice.

He wants to get into the hot tub and she has no swim suit. What to do??

Kyle does his usual talking to himself and acting like a drunken fool in the kitchen by himself.

I’m waiting until exactly 4:00 to piss her off again.

Jesse doesn’t have to ask this chick twice to get busy.

Kyle goes into their room at 4am and Amanda is again pissed, and scolds and bitches at him.

Jesse is done with this girl and sends her on her way. This is a great way to find a wife asshole. I’m wondering, is this considered ‘a date?’

Kyle and Amanda are still not speaking.

West has a great aunt that has lived in NYC forever and they meet up and discuss Ciara.

Whatever.

The modeling thing seems to be panning out for Ciara. It’s good she got off of her lazy ass and did something since she moved to New York three years ago. I’m guessing the Bravo money is running out?

She looks a little hesitant when the agency dude lets her know she’s going to be working, traveling and having to take this seriously.

Oh right, this is why I didn’t pursue this three years ago.

I think he lost her at ‘work.’

Kyle and Amanda have a therapy sesh. I really do have to wonder whether Kyle’s complaints about her lack of motivation with Loverboy are valid.

I kind of think they are. Is he giving her direct instruction though as to what she needs to do? I feel like she needs that.

These dogs crack me up. The one curled up between Kyle’s legs.

Couldn’t Amanda just get over it that he was out late when Carl’s buddies were all in town?? If he’s not doing it all of the time? Let’s pick our battles here. I think she just wants an excuse to ignore him.

The therapist tells them to stop finger pointing and getting defensive over every little thing. Amen. Picking your battles. What I said.

I’m so exhausted from knowing everything.

Another wedding planning scene and this is the mother of wedding planning – the final dress fitting.

It’s kind of sad to watch, even though it’s Lindsay. She’s just so excited to be getting married. Not sure if she’s that excited to marry Carl, but she’s excited to wear this dress, get presents, and have day that’s about her.

Are we ready to see the dress I’m never going to wear??

The dress is exquisite. It has lace, it has sequins. Two of my favorite things.

I feel like this is too good to be true!!

It’s tough to hear her talk about the impostor’s syndrome thing. I hope she has moved forward by trying to get some sort of resolve of her abandonment issues, which causes her to completely malfunction and self-destruct in relationships, and have zero self-awareness about it.

She got so close this time.
