Raspberry Margarita and Raspberry Basil Martini

Raspberry Marg

These measurements constitute one drink. The measurements are approximate, you can adjust according to your taste.

1 – 2 oz clear tequila

Some fresh raspberries

Fresh lime

1 – 2 oz raspberry simple syrup. (I usually do around ½ cup at a time, unless I’m making several drinks. You can put leftovers in the fridge) You just want to boil equal parts sugar and water, throw in a fresh lime wedge and a few raspberries, and cool to room temp)

Splash, or ounce or 2 of Limeade juice or club soda – or both.

Salt for rim

Rub lemon or lime on your glass and salt your rim.

Put all in cocktail shaker with ice and shake, except club soda if you’re using that. If using soda, top your glass off with it.

Pour into glass with ice and enjoy!

Add fresh raspberries and lime wedge !

Raspberry Basil Martini

2 – 3 oz regular, berry flavored or orange vodka

1 – 2 oz Raspberry/Basil simple syrup (I usually make around ½ cup at a time, unless I’m making several drinks. You can put leftovers in the fridge) You just want to boil equal parts sugar and water, throw in a fresh lime wedge, few basil leaves, and a few raspberries, and cool to room temp)

(My ratio preference would be 3 oz vodka, and 1 ounce-ish simple syrup. It’s a martini so it’s supposed to be strong, and I don’t like it overly sweet.)

Fresh Basil leaves, some for muddling, some for the simple syrup and some for garnish

Juice from half of fresh lime

Sugar for rim

Rub lemon or lime on your glass and salt your rim.

Muddle a few basil leaves in your cocktail shaker, add simple syrup, vodka, and lime juice.

Shake with ice, and pour into martini glass.

Add fresh raspberries and basil leaf for garnish !!
