Below Deck 4/15/24

Barbie has been crying to her mom for the past week.

She reminds me of Dorit when she’s in a foreign country. She’s talking in Spanish to her mom, as her mom answers her in English.

Anthony heard her telling her mom she wants to leave and conveys that to Fraser and Xandi, who seem to not care. So they want to go back to being down a stew two minutes after Cat is replaced.

I feel like in recent seasons when there’s the least bit of an issue or conflict, they’re wanting to immediately fire. And what’s with chief stews suddenly talking like they make the firing decisions?? Tumi did this shit too on BDM last season.

Ben is playing his childish fucking games of giving New Girl attention right in front of Sunny. This kid really thinks he is something. He pretends to be confused in his yap.

At dinner Barbie gives a weird toast that wasn’t really a toast. It starts off as an apology, then morphs into bitching at Fraser.

She literally seems to not even realize the awkwardness, as she sips her espresso mart.

That was a good toast, right?

Fraser talks loudly so Barbie can hear, how he’s ‘done’ and tomorrow there will again be three stews.

Sunny and Ben have an annoying convo where Sunny again forgets she’s nothing but a 6 week hook-up.

We’re just fucking right mate, relax.

Ben keeps repeating in what I think he thinks is a sexy voice “right now we’re sleeping together…”

Sunny says she’s ‘good with that’ as they get up. She’s good with that??

She then bitches about him in the van to the others. So she wasn’t good with that. But does she keep banging him? Yes she does.

I think they’re all completely sick of each other and go right to their cabins. Ben comments how much he loves being in his bed by himself. Sunny cries and canoodles with Barbie.

Probably a staged scene, where Fras meets with Kerry and tells him he wants Barbie fired because they had an argument on the crew day off. It all sounds so ludicrous. Kerry is undeservingly patient with Fraser’s constant pissing and moaning like a bitch.

In real life I think a chief stew coming to their Captain with this poppy cock would be fired on the spot.

He keeps comparing Barbie to Camile last season, and the two girls and situations, are nothing alike. I think he for the most part he got along with Camile, but she was a shit show and a terrible person. Didn’t he keep telling her how much he ‘loved’ her? It was really weird. I kept thinking like WHY? Why do you love her? She’s nasty and deplorable. Maybe this is why he dislikes Barbie.

She’s a little entitled and bratty but it’s manageable. Literally all Fraser has to do is compliment her. That is all that this girl wants. To be acknowledged for doing a good job when she does do a good job.

Fraser cries to Kerry that ‘insubordination is a fireable offense’ and goes into explaining the day off issues and how he can’t along with her.

Kerry tells him to suck it and deal with it.

Someone that’s in supervisory position shouldn’t be going to their boss trying to fire someone he personally dislikes. Do what you’re paid to do and figure it out. Or maybe he is doing what he’s paid to do (by Bravo) and being dramatic over absolutely nothing,

Pushing his own agenda instead of the boat’s agenda” is how Kerry describes it.

It’s so funny watching these boatmances when the couples have these super serious discussions. You have to remind yourself that these people have known each other for like one month, sometimes less, and they act like (the girls) the world is coming to an end when they don’t get their proper attention and respect. You want respect? Maybe don’t bang him in the bathroom one week after meeting.

I don’t even know what the fuck they said in that conversation that seemed to be this big resolution.

******

I don’t even believe Kerry is entertaining this shit. But he is. He meets with Barbie and Barbie repeats this annoying rhetoric of how they butt heads, clash or whatever, and how it’s such an honor to be working under him. Stupid. I don’t think Fraser knows that much more about stewing than she does.

There’s really no reason Fraser shouldn’t be getting along with this girl. Maybe it’s because they both kind of have bad deliveries when it comes to expressing themselves.

I actually think I’m in love with Fraser and that’s the problem.

This seems like a lot of drama over nothing and it’s kind of a yawn fest. I don’t know why Bravo thinks we need this constant stew drama. We don’t. Between the hook-ups and the kooky guests, there’s plenty to go around with manufacturing it.

They agree to make a fresh start. Whatever.

Speaking of contrived drama, now we have Ben who simply MUST appoint a Lead Deckhand for the last four fucking charters. So he has to choose from a dude more experienced, but has only been on the boat for a few charters, or Sunny who he’s fucking, who has less experience, and has been on the boast since the start.

WHAT to do? He’s ‘between a rock and a hard place.’ I know! He could just skip the whole thing. So stupid.

******

Preference sheet meeting, and I cannot stand people that say they don’t like vegetables, and have to list shit that they don’t like.

Then stay the hell home or bring your own spaghettios. You can’t expect to come onto a bougee yacht with a chef hired to make gourmet fucking meals, and eat like a fucking six-year-old. Stay. Home.

And the primaries, want to be referred to as ‘King and Queen.’

Can’t make this shit up!

Frenchy is already feeling the pressure with what looks like another group of high-maintenance picky-ass weird eaters.

He keeps repeating in his yaps how he feels like a failure and not good enough, so you know this isn’t getting any better.

Oh joy – more picky eaters!!

And if the bitch doesn’t like pork then she doesn’t eat bacon. Why do we need to find a ‘bacon alternative?’ Just don’t eat bacon.

Ben tells Kerry he’s appointing Sunny as Lead Deckhand. Honestly, even if those two weren’t banging, it’s always this big dude ego thing, when a girl gets the position over a dude.

Ben delivers the Lead Deckhand decision in a fun little ceremony, and Dylan is immediately unhappy. He vows to not be that guy to be a sore loser and say “oh no I don’t think so!” Then for the rest of the episode, proceeds to walk around the boat and tell everyone, “oh no I don’t think so!”

NO FAIRRRRRR!!!

Guests arrive and they look like they’re going to be a pain. The King and Queen get crowned. I think they’re serious about this.

Your Queen has arrived!

Lunch is served. Fish tacos, and already the six-year-old is bitching because her sheet said no fish. Frenchy makes her a caesar salad instead, and she hates that because she also doesn’t like vegetables.

Kerry is hovering around and already knows what’s going on. He kind of reminds me of Captain Creepy Sandy with his lurking around.

The latecomer Brandon has arrived and you can already kind of tell he’s going to be a problem.

These guests are bitching up a storm about the dinner. The ceviche was too fancy and the chicken salad thing isn’t fancy enough. Then they begin to argue because apparently Brandon had invited the King and Queen to a drag show and King was not prepared for that.

They start bickering about gay events versus black events. See what I mean how you don’t need the stew drama??

Since Dylan has been walking around grumbling about not being Lead Deckhand. it got back to Ben (via Paris.)

He tells Dylan he’s going to talk to him tomorrow about it.

Producers get shady and do some flash scenes on Ben bitching about Lead Deckhands when he says in his yap that Dylan should be coming to him and not bitching to the crew.

Frenchy can’t find his ice cream scoop to plate the dessert. The poor guy just can’t focus under all of the harsh criticism that he’s been getting.
