Southern Charm – 3/11/26 – He’s Just Not That Into You

Dinner on the ‘retreat’ post the sweat hut thing that they all claimed was a huge release or whatever.

Craig is seated by Salley, and she has yet to receive her apology for his losing it on her in the van.

The lovebirds Craig and Austen chat about their differences. Again.

I have no idea what’s going on with those two, and I’m not even going to try to understand.

I do think Austen has some sort of ‘feelings’ for Craig in THAT kind of way, and that’s all I’m going to say. There seems to be a lot of sexual tension. On his part, mostly.

Craig sounds like he’s beginning to make an apology for the van freak-out. Dinner plates arrive, and he starts talking about the food instead.

Rodrigo clocks in and brings it up. Craig calls it a ‘trigger’ when people are “in his business.”

He reluctantly tells Salley that he’s sorry. She seriously thought he would bring her a coffee ‘first thing in the morning’ and apologize?

The dude didn’t even get out of bed until 3pm.

Will Salley acknowledge making fun of him, right before he snapped?

He didn’t have to call her several names over it, I know, but why poke at an extremely drunk person? That’s the question for Salley that I hope someone asked at the reunion.

Oh yeah, my bad.

Charley listens in. She says in her yap, it doesn’t feel genuine or like enough.

I think maybe Salley is okay with the apology because she knows she purposely got him all cranked up.

In my experience, if someone purposely provokes you, and they get what the wanted out of it, they’re very quick to accept the apology.

And I literally experienced almost the exact same scenario once.

I don’t think there was any alcohol available at the retreat. Craig needs to go back to his ‘one or two wines or beers only’ rule. He was doing so great.

Madison brings the baby home. So cute. So sweet. Two weeks in the NICU due to being premature.

Her husband is the best. I don’t know how she snagged this guy. I have to assume it’s only because they’re never together. Brett is so calm and cool. Their relationship is like zero fucking drama. Can’t even imagine.

And why is Madison acting so normal?? It’s scary.

******

Charley complains to her mom about Craig’s meltdown. They haven’t spoken at all so Craig has to be picking the possibility that she’s pissed off.

Patricia is hosting a season finale event for ‘Carolina Day.’ It’s more like an excuse to get everyone together, dressed up, and have them argue for the finale.

Whitney arrives solo because apparently when you’re a 50-something rich as fuck dude, it’s hard to get a 30 year-old girlfriend (that was sarcasm.)

Rodrigo arrives with his guy. I’m assuming he won’t be feeling up and kissing on Austen tonight, but maybe.

Why would Craig bring this goon Kory with him? And why is he dressed like a pimp? Why would a guy bring another guy as his plus one? What in the gayness is going on here on this show?? Would they just all come out already on stop insulting us?

It’s funny you never saw Kory again after they walked in the door. Not that I’m complaining.

Drop me off on the corner to check on my hookers.

.Craig tells him he noticed a “change in energy” with Charley.

She basically runs away from him when he arrives.

Salley is her usual pathetic pick-me with Austen.

Shep brings a date, which is unbelievable. It’s Venita’s tennis instructor. And what’s the best news of all? She’s 37! She’s younger, but age appropriate.

Leva shows up. I’m going to have to critique her dress really quick. The bodice to me looks like not a style for large chested women, and that’s all I’m going to say.

There is nothing to say about this.

Maybe instead of running from Craig, Charley could like talk to him and tell him she has the official ick.

Craig confides in Salley that he doesn’t get why she’s ignoring him. They had been really close, communicating constantly, and even planned a trip to France together.

Salley’s mind is blown. I’m getting the feeling she’s going to get re-mad about this, since she initially called dibs. Even though she supposedly completely hated him five minutes ago??

Charley approaches Craig finally. He calls her weird. That probably wasn’t the best choice. She makes one of her Charley faces and tells him they should talk.

All the girls bad mouth Charley to Salley about how she kept their romance this big secret.

Charley tells him how his anger bothered her that night. Craig gets defensive, and says he wishes he could take it back, and reminds her of their daily FaceTiming rituals.

Charley’s not having it. I guess they’re NOT still together. I was given bum info about a month ago.

They end on a cordial ‘just friends’ note.

Salley is cracking me up, being this upset. Everyone seems like they’re ganging up on Charley. It’s stupid.

Leva: “Is there SOMETHING you’re not saying Salley?” Shut up Leva with your scripted bullshit.

Salley reminds Charley about some text she sent her before their date.

She makes Charley feel bad about moving forward with the date. Even though she now hates Craig and has moved onto sexually assaulting Austen. I’m losing brain cells.

So selfish for me to date Craig as you’re going after Austen.

Why are we even having this conversation? Neither one of them want him now, so, can we not move on?

Craig fills Austen in on his talk with Charley. He seems to be blaming Salley for this demise for meddling.

Craig is still sticking to beer, however that doesn’t seem to stop Austen from trying to get him all worked up. It’s worth a try I guess.

Austen brings up his angry tantrum in Mexico, and tells him that’s more the issue.

Craig tells him people say fucked up shit to him to provoke him.

I get that.

I think we’re in the era where we’re now better at recognizing that behavior. Provoking you purposely, then throwing your reactions in your face. I do see that is done to Craig.

I don’t know why Austen is being such a dick right now.

And why I care so much about this I don’t know!

I don’t think the ‘lost soul’ thing was necessary. He’s like legit trying to get him to go off. And if he would’ve had some shots or mixies, he probably would have.

What I find interesting is that this really has nothing to do with Austen. I don’t know how Craig, gets him so worked up.

The Three Stooges, Whitney Shep and Austen embrace and agree to all leave together to get a drink. Shep suddenly remembers he has a girl with him.

I’m getting lost in your eyes.
I’m not used to being with a girl.

That looked really gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with it. Just own it.

Austen and Salley have a weird conversation in front of the event space as Austen tries to escape.

He whines about Craig some more, if that’s even possible.

Austen tries to walk away, and she begs him to come back. He squeals “Oh my God” in annoyance. Straight guys don’t say “oh my God.”

I’m just saying. I would love for him to say it too.

Doesn’t she see he’s excited to go make out with his boyfriends. She’s totally in the way.

They continue to talk on either side of the gate. It just gets worse for her, as she pleads for him to tell her that he likes her, and wants to get with her.

If I’m into girls.

Did you see on WWHL how he said they are not in a relationship, even though Salley seems to be making that claim? She continues to embarrass herself.

He invites her to come with him and his boyfriends, but I don’t think he really means it.

Salley, he doesn’t like you. He doesn’t like any girls. Period.

And no guy likes a woman who throws himself at him.
