The house is abuzz with Ciara and West leaving for the boat trip early by themselves to chat.
Not sure why we needed this meeting after West apologized TWICE for kissing a girl in front of her. He dumped her three years ago. He’s free to do what he wants, but here we are. We have a show to do.
Ciara likes to watch him fake-grovel. She actually thinks his apologies are sincere.
‘The Ariana effect’ I’m calling it, is now happening to her in light of West and Amanda. She seems to be getting opportunities, such as DWTS, as Ariana did.
Ariana was also known for not being the most energetic, like Ciara.
This could be what she needs to get the hell off her couch. I definitely don’t see that as a bad thing.
Even if it is due to her delusion that West was never allowed to move on after dating her for five minutes.
It hurts that it was Amanda, and she was lying to her face, but they WERE NOT TOGETHER, and have not been for three years. I feel like I keep saying that, but it’s a valid point.
Her situation is not the same as Ariana’s because Ciara and West dated briefly three years ago (sorry) and Ariana and Tom were together for ten years, lived together and shared a home together…
Kyle is actually the ‘Ariana’ because Amanda and West started this fling last summer while they were still together.
They can deny it all they fucking want, but it’s true.

The others talk in the cars how want to see Ciara and West on great terms and besties when they arrive.
They know Ciara is a puddle with dudes that give her attention. Jesse and West in particular. So of course they’re going to be BFF’s and ‘made up.’ Again. Even though they’ve already been made up.

I don’t know why everyone would be advocating for West to keep leading Ciara on. They have to know he doesn’t like her like that.
Legit, the only fucking time Ciara smiles is for West and Jesse. I get it, who doesn’t love a little validating male attention when you’re a girl, but when it’s the only thing that makes you happy, that’s a problem. Do we even know if she has any hobbies or interests? We don’t.
The way they greet everyone when the get to the dock, is like they just got engaged. It was so weird.
I wanted to THROW UP when she tells Mia that she thinks their each other’s person.
Mia is her BFF. Girl needs to step the hell up and nicely tell her this dude isn’t into her, and she needs to stop desperately chasing after him.
Instead she encourages her. Sorry but that’s not a friend. Maybe that’s harsh because I do like Mia.
Where has Ciara been hiding her for several years? She’s so much cooler and funnier than Ciara.
‘Weird’ friendship? Yes it’s 100% a weird friendship. Why? Becuse she has a bizarre fixation on this man.
And he’s super non-confrontational, so he lets her think she has this upper hand, when really he just doesn’t want to tell her to move the hell on.
Does he really miss this ‘friendship?’ No. I don’t think he does. I think she really did misunderstand their relationship. I know they were dating, and talking because that’s part of ‘dating’ so things were shared, but I don’t get why because they shared things with each other, that makes them ‘best friends.’

Amanda calling and being all pissy that West referred to the previous evening as ‘the best night of my life’ on a SM post.
I feel like he did that as a private little joke type thing.

How dumb did I look going on couples vacations with his coworkers when every single guy, and their wives knew he cheated on me extensively.
OMG I just remembered this. I think I buried it during my trauma period. I invited his then-best friend and his girlfriend over for dinner for his birthday to surprise him, and they of course both knew he was in this relationship with another woman. Two women actually. One skank he’s still with now.

That whole conversation between Amanda on FaceTime, Ciara and Kyle was awkward AF.
Amanda calls Kyle and she immediately asks for Ciara.
Kyle wants to know what she meant by her ‘damn’ comment in response to West’s post. Amanda not being shy that she was annoyed that West didn’t miss her. He tells her she made it all about her.
Mia’s face tells me she sees that something weird is up. Wouldn’t viewers have thought that too seeing that interaction if we didn’t know?
Ciara, of course is in Ciara land, and is oblivious.

What’s with Mia and Ciara’s obsession with Dara and KJ? Why are they acting like this? It’s weird.
Ciara doesn’t give a fuck about who anyone is dating unless she’s into the guy, and she’s NOT into KJ. I don’t think I need to explain why. It’s pretty obvious.
What’s their fixation on her being a few years older? I looked it up, and she’s only five years older. They’re like 29 and 34. That’s not a huge age difference in this age range.
And Ciara telling him ‘it’s fast.’ She’s clearly jealous no guy she’s ever been into on the show wanted to be her boyfriend.
And as I pointed out last week, they’re just dating, and decided to not see other people. They’re not moving in together. They’re not getting married. WTF is with this?
I don’t think a five year age difference puts them in “different phases their lives” as Mia tries to assert. I like Mia but she’s pissing me off actually with this shit.
Dara looks annoyed. So if this is about race, which they’re not saying but eluding to, why is it okay for Ciara to constantly pursue white guys but KJ can’t date a white girl??

They call up super fan-girl Sabrina, to fill her in on Ciara and West ‘making up.’
This scene is the first time I noticed that Ciara never smiles unless there is a dude involved. When I was first watching as she’s on the bed with Ben, talking about West, and I was like what’s wrong with her face?’
Oh she’s smiling and laughing. I’ve never even seen her teeth.
Kyle joins in this ridickness. Can West hear her obsessing over this from his room? I think he can. So embarrassing for Ciara. She literally has no pride.
Why when West gets drunk does he claim he likes Ciara? I think he does it on purpose to cause confusion.
Ciara squeals in excitement after Sabrina tells her he said he has a ‘crush’ on her or some shit.
I did notice Kyle seems to have a weird expression on his face during this interaction. I totally think he knew about West and Amanda.

They have dinner and of course desperate Ciara sits beside him.

I’m shook that she’s actually clothed.
Ciara goes into Jesse’s room and they gossip about Kyle and Amanda’s relationship.
He tells her and Mia that Kyle and Amanda haven’t had sex in a very long time. Like we’re talking years.
That honestly didn’t shock me. You can see Amanda has zero attraction nor interest in him.
Should Jesse be sharing that if he was told this in confidence? Probably not.
And you would think Ciara wouldn’t have that shocked face, if she and Amanda are great friends, right?

Amanda and Ciara meet in the city and discuss the weekend.
Ciara is still all smiles, talking about West.
Why does she act like she and West haven’t been friendly already. Since the season started and last season she’s been ‘talking to him’ and fine around him, even flirty. Aside form saying “get my sunglasses off of your sweaty fucking head” once, she’s been swooning all over him for two months and begging for his attention. What am I missing in this ‘oohhhhh we made up’ drama.
Is it me or is it them? I think it’s them.
Amanda fills her in on their therapy session, which of course was way too late at this point. Even without the West of it all, it was still too late.
Ciara is really pushing for this separation. I’m not saying I disagree but normally a friend doesn’t feel comfortable pushing you to leave your husband. Maybe if the circumstances were more extreme, then yes, I would get that, but I think Ciara is overstepping. A marriage is different.

It’s Carl’s soft opening of the ‘Soft Bar.’
Does Bailey actually like Carl or is she just trying for another season?
He doesn’t really seem that interested in her and I have my suspicions as to why.
The atmosphere is very New York City, rustic but cool.
The drinks look amazing and rumor has it they taste really good.
Weird Awkward Scene Alert!!
But for real, Ben and Sabrina’s scenes ARE typically awkward.
And this is no exception.
KJ addresses them as love birds and then there’s this awkwardness of Ben tying to make a joke that KJ is also in a ‘lovebird’ situation.
Weird rhetoric for two guys in my opinion.
Sabrina randomly asks for a ‘smooch’ while Ben is talking to KJ.
I know she’s new to all of this but… like stop.
That wasn’t the real uncomfortable weirdness.
She then prompts Ben to tell KJ he’s introducing her to his family over Christmas, and he’s already purchased the plane tickets to Australia.
Ben looks dumbfounded because at first he doesn’t even know wtf she’s talking about because she just says “tell him about Christmas.”
Keep in mind we’re still in August.
I’m sure he didn’t want this brought up because he’s trying to pretend they haven’t been together this entire time. She didn’t get that memo.
He actually seems annoyed she said that.
And if you thought this couldn’t be worse, it is.
Sabrina is so needy, she chooses to force him to elaborate. I guess she can’t see that Ben is clearly uncomfortable. Not to mention, KJ does NOT CARE.

Now she coaxes him to share that he had told his mom that the next girl he brings home “will be someone special.” Ben covers his mouth as he says this so if you know body language, that means he’s lying. So he made all that up.
Both of these two are a little strange.
Carl’s mom arrives. I see she learned her lesson from her appearance last year and, like, washed her hair. That was bad last year.
Not only is it washed, it looks freshly washed, colored, cut and styled. She greets West and brings up that she ‘got in trouble’ for saying tht Lindsay was mean to her last year.
I don’t know why that would piss off Lindsay. She wears her bitchiness as a badge of honor I thought.
Amanda arrives in a really cute short red dress. Of course we know who she’s getting all zuzhed up for.
She starts scanning the room for West.
Back to Sabrina for a sec, and how fucking bizarre she acts. She approaches West way too enthusiastically, to the point it seems phony, telling him that she’s “so excited for after.” Which of course we find out later what she means by that.
West looks… not excited. Even from the back of his head you can see he doesn’t want to go. He mentions how he’s didn’t bother ‘dressing up.’
What’s this thing she does where she absolutely over-compliments everyone constantly??
She’s clearly a fan of the show.
Calling fucking bum West “amazing and beautiful” is fucking weird.
West expresses in his yap he’s uncomfortable with the whole thing. In all fairness, he does already have a girlfriend.
Kyle whines how Carl was supposed to be serving the non-alcohol Loverboy, and isn’t.
I guess that’s a sign that perhaps he would have donated to the cause. If the place sticks, he could’ve recouped his investment.
Lindsay arrives with a friend, and they immediately start ripping on the place before they even enter. The location, the prices, the lack of alcohol… None of it suits Queen Lindsay.

I don’t know if it’s the haircut or what, but she’s definitely coming off extra nasty this season. Not even so much in what she says, just her whole look and demeanor.
I don’t know why she thinks she has to be so mean-spirited when it comes to Carl. It just makes her appear bitter and spiteful.

She even goes so far as to bring him a back-handed gift;a teddy bear because she still insists on ridiculing him for asking her for a hug that last summer when they were still together, when he seemed to be struggling with his sobriety. She’s so sinister. I think too the summers are a struggle because of his brother’s passing. Does this chick have a black heart and NO SOUL? That’s rhetorical.
I don’t know how much lower you can get than that, but he handles it with grace and humor like he does every single time she delivers these digs. Not sure why he won’t just clap back, but he never does.

I don’t think the text was weird she sent to Lindsay at all. Lindsay thinks everyone is being mean and spiteful because she’s mean and spiteful.
I’m sure she wouldn’t admit it, but I think she’s a bit embarrassed around Sharon because she knows Carl has probably shared a lot of her shitty behavior when they were together.
You know how when you’re in an abusive/toxic relationship, you don’t want to really share how horribly you’re getting treated, because you feel ashamed and embarrassed that you’re allowing yourself to be treated like that.
But when you’re out of it and free, you feel more compelled to talk about it and call the person out for how they treated you.
I know in my case, I’m recalling a lot of things that I buried or blocked out and I’m not shy about sharing it.

So apparently Lindsay and Danielle are no longer friends because Lindsay got miffed about Danielle’s snarky yap comments about Lindsay’s fast pregnancy, during the previous summer’s filming.

And Danielle wasn’t wrong. It gives trashy to be broken up with a fiance in September, two months before your wedding, and show up halfway through your pregnancy to another man the following July.
So within five or six months, you’re pregnant to another man??
Lindsay would have said the same damned thing about someone else.
I think Danielle was picking up on the fact that her relationship with Mr. Perfect Turner wasn’t that great, and she didn’t like that either.
Lindsay dodges because I don’t think she wants a confrontation with Danielle on top of Sharon.
Deep down she knows Danielle was right. She used that guy to get a kid, and she’s mad Danielle was the only one not afraid to say it.
Simple math will tell you that’s what she did.

Messy Jesse lets Amanda know that Ciara and West have date that night, and she is NOT happy about that.
Even if you take out of the equation that she’s banging West, she’s right in her comment that Ciara isn’t going to be able to handle a platonic ‘friend’ thing with West.
BUT, sadly, as we know this isn’t her only concern. Or her concern at all. She’s mad that her friend is moving in on her man.
