Southern Charm – 3/18/26 – Reunion Part 1

Two right off the bat fashion critiques.

I’m not being petty. The attire is a big part of the reunions.

Madison’s black lace dress looks cheap. I’m over the black lace lingerie look. Also I thought it was strange she wasn’t wearing any eye makeup.

Venita’s dress: While it’s okay, I don’t hate it, however it does look like it has a sitting down problem as Andy was concerned about, since it’s so short and tight. Which is why I’m assuming she is keeping her hands folded tightly over her crotch. Before she had her hands there, it was a straight shot. I don’t why they don’t look into that before deciding on a dress.

Craig is already getting bitched at as Andy makes the greeting rounds, and is in defense mode.

This leads us unfortunately, right into Austen and Craig again professing that their friendship is ‘over.’

What is with Austen and this porn stache?

I came across something recently, that Whitner and Charley had a date that got edited out.

So there’s ‘something about Whit’ that we just don’t know. I feel like there was more to Salley’s comment on WWHL, that viewers ‘don’t really know him’ when she answered why none of the ladies seemed interested.

My theory is, of course that he’s gay, as are Austen, Whitney and Shep. I mean like what else could that comment have meant?

As Whitner pointed out when he was asked about it on his WWHL appearance, it’s not like he was an asshole or high-drama at all. So why would she indicate that he’s not her ‘type.’

Especially when Salley seems to want anything with a dick.

She gets grilled on this comment. It’s obvious she tries to back pedal and feels a certain way about the comment.

She comes up with how he talks a little too much about himself.

Okay, Salley. If that is really the reasoning, I think you would have said that, and not been cryptic.

Oh and he might also be gay.

I can’t fathom this guy talks about himself any more than the Three Stooges. I think it’s bullshit, especially when you factor in she was/is all hot and bothered about Craig and Austen, respectively.

Just fucking say it. Who even cares.

Looks like Salley is still embarrassingly throwing herself at Austen and Austen could NOT care any less. He honestly seems put off by it. Salley, guys like a challenge. Come ON now.

She comes off as so desperate and annoying.

Salley and Scheana from VPR really need studied by a professional that specializes in female personality disorders.

They’re both really pretty, where you wouldn’t think they need to beg guys go be with them, but they do.

They don’t see that they shouldn’t be doing this. Since guys are superficial as fuck, and they’re both hot, the fact that guys don’t want to be with them, you would think they would reevaluate.

You might say Sceana has Brock now, but he did ‘DM’ her through social media knowing who she was. Sorry but that dude is a fucking grifter. Do the math.

Craig continues to blame the cast for his relationship not working out with Charley.

Now, let me be clear. Salley certainly didn’t help matters by constantly making Charley feel weird and insecure about seeing him, but the challenge honestly was his drunken freak-out in Mexico.

I want to support Craig because I don’t think he’s a bad person, but he should work on taking accountability.

At the same time, I kind of get why he freaked out in the van.

Salley made a pissy, cunty, snarky useless unnecessary comment about his hair looking wacky or whatever.

Like how about suggesting he not drink anymore instead of making fun of him.

Craig should have been in control of his precious little fucking emotions. Like who cares about his hair. Yeah he looked sweaty and drunk, because he was sweaty and drunk.

Did it play out on the show about Charley talking to other guys while she was seeing Craig? I didn’t think so, but apparently Salley was in his ear making sure he knew this.

There seems to be a discrepancy as to whether or not Charley told him she would stop talking to guys on Raya.

Craig says she promised. Charley claims she never said that.

******

Molly is dating some old guy.

Here we are again discussing Molly’s labia. She claims she doesn’t want to discuss it, but she always seems happy to discuss it.

And then Rodrigo, a gay guy gets involved in all of this? He had to be throwing up in his mouth during these conversations.

Oh and Venita profusely apologizing when the episode was aired. Well thank God for that.

Austen and Salley announce a show they watched during a sleepover (in which nothing happened, of course…) about closeted gay hockey players.

Now isn’t THAT interesting?? Austen was interested in watching a porn about closet gays. I’m just saying.

They seemingly have a very shallow and booty-call type of situationship. Sadly, in sort of a reversal of roles, Salley is proud of it, and Austen would rather keep it on the way down low.

I’m not into girls anyway, so I don’t really care.

Their interaction goes on way too long and gets weird, as Austen accuses her of being this ‘bar rat’ and ‘running the streets’ and that’s why he’s not interested in her. When really that’s not why.

He pretends he doesn’t want to admit to banging her because of Audrey, whom he broke up with eight months ago.

Salley’s not my favorite due to her extreme pick-me when it comes to guys, but Austen was sounding a little 1950.

He starts stammering because he knows he’s lying. She has a good point. If she was in an actual relationship she wouldn’t be going out to bars. Clearly she’s looking for guys to chase around.

I feel like he’s using that as an excuse because he’s just not that into her. She needs to stop making herself so available to him.

Then he kind of insinuates she’s slutty, bringing up her ‘body count.’

Austen announces he’s not going to be “bullied into dating Salley.”

I feel like not only does he not like her and is not attracted to her, he also hates her.

At least Salley has the good grace to look offended and uncomfortable.

I know looks aren’t everything, but you would think they’re sitting here talking about a 400 pound girl with blue hair and warts.

She must really be annoying.

Long story short, Austen is banging Salley but doesn’t want to date her. Or be around her really.

Austen gets questioned about what a shitty boyfriend he appeared to be with Audrey. He wasn’t, he claims.

Craig and Austen’s arguments are so funny. In an embarrassing way.

They live to put each other down and literally hope the other fails at everything they do. Jobs, businesses, and relationships.

They’re worse than Housewives to be honest.

Technically Salley didn’t take Austen from Audrey (as if he’s a prize) because Austen isn’t even interested in her.

Rodrigo tells Salley she was acting like a fucking skank with Austen. I paraphrased but that’s definitely what he’s wanting to say.

I feel kind of stupid saying this, but I do think Austen had FOMO.

Can I please make the very valid point, if I do say so myself, that Austen was mad at Craig last year for NOT drinking heavily or wanting to go out, now this season he’s mad at him for drinking heavily?

Craig is right. Poking at someone until they go off, then turning the reaction against them IS manipulation. I don’t know why all of these assholes are rolling their eyes.

Why are we using the rhetoric of I ‘hate’ somebody. That’s something children say when they’re mad at a parent trying to discipline them.

Why does Whit hate Craig so much too? He’s like Captain Peanut Gallery chiming in about shit that doesn’t even concern him. Does he have a crush on him too?

Also he’s wrong. Craig did apologize that night of the literary party. Yes, he did say ‘but.’

BUT, he did apologizie.

And I’m also wild about you.

It’s not a good look that Craig yelled at Salley in front of her mom. We don’t know what the hell they’re talking about, because it was off camera. I kind of want to be on his side but he does make it hard. Like dude stop yelling at girls.

I don’t get total narcissist vibes from Craig. Does he have his moments of saying and doing things I don’t like, and acting like a brat? Yes. But that doesn’t make him a narcissist.

They bicker more about that.

Craig gets increasingly agitated. I do believe he has the empathy gene, as normal people should. But he can also be an asshole sometimes.

A true narc is just an asshole all of the time.
