Southern Charm – 2/11/26 – Spill The Wine, Dump That Girl

Dinner is being prepared at the Whitner ‘farm.’ It actually looks like it was something other than a pretend farm at one time.

What’s with Austen and Rodrigo acting like a couple? I wholeheartedly believe that Rodrigo is into Austen, even though he has a guy.

This is the second weird and suggestive remark he’s made on the trip, and Austen isn’t hating it. Maybe last week it was Austen being flirty. Whit looked excited. Wonder if Rod’s guy is mad seeing this.

The frogs even love you!

We also have Salley into Austen. I just don’t get it.

I don’t know what this overly straight laced behavior is that these guys are displaying, but it is unrecognizable. Assuming they’re just really trying to impress Whitler’s parents. It would be nice if they could always act normal like this.

Their overly polite tones are completely off. It reminds me of fake work manners.“Okayyyyy, have a nice rest of your dayyyyyyy.”

Shep and Rod dramatically take Madison into the dining room to chat about Austen.

Whitler’s dog puts his head under Craig’s wine glass, and I don’t know how, but he saved Mollt from wearing a glass of red wine. Craig and red wine is a bad omen. He needs to switch to white.

I like how the dog just lies there with his head in Craig’s lap after he causes the huge ruckus.

Austen gossips to Charley about Craig. Charley explains what she was told by Salley that Craig made derogatory remarks about hoping she doesn’t ‘fall in love with him.’

Finally they roll the scene, because I did NOT remember in what context Craig said that, but I didn’t think it malicious.

He said he would ‘feel bad’ if she dropped her guard and then he realizes he doesn’t like her.

He could have probably worded that a more tactful way. Maybe said ‘if things don’t work out.’

Austen, believe it or not, clears it up, and explains it was said in a way that was not conceited.

So I guess this little pow-wow in the dining room was just to discuss Austen dumping Audrey? So freaking dumb. Madison looks like she’s trying so hard to be interested, but gives absolutely no fucks about this. Nor do the viewers.

I just wish he’d admit to being gay.

It does have to be hard being around this group stone cold sober.

Shep thinks he MUST give Austen advice about Audrey.

He gets ridiculed for being the last person that should be giving relationship advice. Duh.

I guess I should correct my belief that Rodrigo hates the entire group, because he’s clearly into Austen. He gets annoyed at Salley hitting on his man.

Back off Bitch!

Having said that, Salley is being rather gross with her pervy comments to Austen and the mumbling under her breath.

I try not to think it’s weird when people refer to their parents as ‘mom and dad’ (instead of MY mom and dad) to people, other than family, but I guess it’s really not.

Shep and Austen: I really wish these two would come out of the closet.

Viewers wouldn’t care, their parents would get over it. There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s 2026 and we don’t care.

So sick of them wasting women’s time. Maybe the two ‘Whits’ would join if they lead the way?

Come to our room later?? I’m single!

So, as promised, Shep starts a chat about Audrey. He opens with Austen being ‘indecisive.’

Austen defends he’s not indecisive because he “got kittens and gets tattoos.”

What the hell does that have tlo do with anything? Other than further convincing us that you’re gay.

I don’t need no girlfriend. I got kitties and tats!!!

This convo is senseless and circular. Shep takes some sort of offense, I guess that Austen has discussed breaking up with Audrey with others, and not him.

Austen tells him he didn’t share with him because he feels like he’s ‘reveled’ in their troubles. Or something like that. They bicker about their ‘friendship.’

Shep claims you can’t take things personally in a friendship. I’m sorry, what?? I feel like you don’t expect a friend to constantly insult you.

******

Next morning. So I guess the night before Salley had a lot of wine and said some really gross stuff as to her aspirations as to what she wants Austen to do with her. Molly fills her in. Saying shit like this is why she can’t get a guy. No pun intended.

Actually I’d rather do that to Shep or Rod.

Austen continues to try to pretend like he’s distraught about Audrey. Usually the one that does the breaking up is not the one that’s distraught. It’s sad to me he waited for filming to do that to her.

Whitner’s parents are like the best hosts. I can’t believe they’re cooking for all of these people.

Everyone continues to be on their best behavior and using their ‘work voices’ in front of ‘Mother and Dad.’ Shep and Austen greeted each other weirdly.

I won’t tell if you don’t.

Can you even imagine if they acted like this all of the time?

Madison leaves, which is probably good. She needs to be at home with her feet up.

My point about Shep and Austen is further proven when they’re crying and wailing “euuuwwwww gross I hate this” whilst trying to put a worm on their fishing hooks.

Euwww it’s so slimy and icky!!!

What a bunch of girls.

Believe it or not, these putzes catch a fish. Shep DOES know how to unhook the fish, believe it or not. They throw him back in the water. Rodrigo turns into some sort of metaphor.

Shep makes a rather personal comment to Rodrigo seemingly asking about his sex life and how things work. Again, not to beat a dead horse, or a dead fish, come out already. It’s getting so obvious. Straight guys usually aren’t ‘intrigued’ by gay guys. Not that there’s anything wrong with it. I’m just saying.

Shep is of course happy that Austen ended his relationship because that means he has him all to himself. He does not want Craig nor Austen to have girlfriends.

…that he really wants to be with me.

What the fuck is happening. Rodrigo and Shep fawn all over Austen for being ‘true to himself’ or whatever and dumping her.

True to himself would be admitting he likes guys, but baby steps.

They’re so dumb.

******

Salley and Ventia squabble about Salley feeling like she’s Venita’s scapegoat.

Molly joins, and it feels like it’s going to be a gang-up on Venita. As usual.

If she’s reporting shit back that she’s told, isn’t she just doing her job??

Only I’M allowed to do that.

Also isn’t Salley doing the same thing? Telling Charley shit Craig supposedly said?

Whit chimes in, NOT taking Venita’s side, even though he’s sitting here seeing two girls ganging up on her.

She tells him to STFU.

She apologizes to Molly about vagina gate, but nothing for Salley. She walks away. Salley yells.

******

Back in Charleston, why the Patricia and Whitney scenes? They’re getting so irritating.

He’s the other one that needs to come out. Pat will get over it.

Honestly at this point, what’s the difference if he admits he’s gay or keeps pretending he’s dating women?

Chauncey passed away and they have a small service. Complete with a bagpiper.

So there’s an entire pet cemetery on the property. Looks like only Austen is in attendance. Where’s Madison? She loves to suck up to Patricia.

Austen was the only one invited since he had a ‘special’ relationship with Chauncey.

As they say for every death there’s a birth.

Madison is in the hospital in early labor, as she predicted. I wonder if her due date was wrong, because she was huge for having over a month to go.

I’m glad she called Venita first since everyone else treats her like shit.

I assume she’s having a C-section the next morning. I saw online she was in labor for 48 hours first. Yet she’s sitting here in the hospital getting her hair done, not looking particularly uncomfortable?
