$64,000 question. If Nat was the problem, and she’s now gone, so why is there still drama?

Jack is kicking himself for not speaking up more about Kyle, and maybe convincing her to stay.

Kyle’s latest hissy seems to have blown over, and they leave and head out dancing.

Sandy is pissed, back at the boat, that the crew mess, is a mess.

They start pounding shots immediately. These people need to learn to pace themselves. Like, why shots??

Jack and Lily chat again, and he’s not really saying anything that bad about Kyle. He overhears or maybe he was standing right there, I don’t know. He tells her that Jack is a trouble maker and is trying to create a divide. Not really, that’s kinda Captain Sandy’s department.

But this season Captain Projection Kyle has taken over. He keeps bitching about Jack to her as if he’s not sitting right there. I don’t know why Jack’s letting him bully him around. He needs to speak up and stop being a pussy.

Kyle is such a buzzkill. I wish he’d go home! Home home, not back to the boat. Take his big ass and big pasty legs back to Africa!

Lily lets Tumi know that he was making her feel uncomfortable while she was talking to Jack, by bringing up Nat, and just being a douche.

Tumi claims she’s going to be addressing this with him. Okay, well he has a meltdown every time someone critiques him in the least. So, cool. Can’t wait. Men having hissies every ten minutes. It’s not humiliating at all (for them.)

You would think dudes that can’t handle their precious little emotions, would be embarrassed to behave this way. But, clearly, they’re not.

So the crew heads back to the boat. Jack, French and Lily are in one van, and everyone else is packed into the other.

I feel bad a little bit for Jack. He probably likes Lily too, however she’s into Max for obvious reasons. Jack’s so sweet though, and he’s a chef!!

But he is sitting here picking his nose, so there’s that.

Jack and Lily head to same cabin, and bed, and we’re not totally sure what went down, however we do know what’s going down in the other cabin.

In the morning, Lily sick and hungover. For some reason we’re getting the exact count.

Jack talks to Tumi, privately, well you know not really privately, but away from the crew, and lets her Kyle was interrupting his convo with Lily, and bitching he was trying to turn her against him. He wasn’t

Tumi notices in her yap that Kyle always seems to think someone is conspiring against him. He shouldn’t flatter himself. No one even cares that much, to put any effort into pissing him off. No one wants to be his friend, and no one particularly wants to be his enemy, either since he’s fucking bonkers. It’s better to stay on the good side of a cracra narc freak, because who the hell knows what they’re capable of. They can’t handle their shit, and they’re unstable as fuck.

Just when you think they couldn’t get any more wicked and destructive, they do.

Tumi can stop her sulking and bitching. She didn’t create this monster, I’m not saying that, but she totally has encouraged and enabled this monster.

I don’t get why Sandy reprimands Luka for the crew mess being a mess? Why wouldn’t that be on everyone, and addressed to the whole group?

Is this another example of overcompensation? Like you know how she always favors and coddles the deck crew, and since she was told to cut it out, so she singles out Luka, the Bosun, that no one did their dishes, and left their bottles all over the table.

That was weird. But, it’s Sandy.

How about Sandy, you just act fucking normal and treat everyone equally? Yes the deck crew is important, but so are so the stews. Does she want to serve, scrub toilets and do laundry? Don’t think so.

Luka looks immediately annoyed, and crosses his arms. After this scene, Sandy was probably so excited and bragged to the producers that she bitched at a bosun, and not the chief stew. And he’s even cute! Sandy Captain Sandy, actually bitched at a good-looking deck crew! What is going on??

True it was for something that was not his fault, nor his department, but hey, she’s new at this reprimanding the deck crew thing. She needs some practice.

The kid looks so confused.

Maybe they should’ve let him in on the fact that he was getting a bogus scolding to show that she can be fair.

Lily is still under the weather, and not even attempting to get up. At least it’s another whole entire day until the new guests arrive. Tumi tells her to take an hour. When you’re this hungover, an hour isn’t going to do shit.

Tumi, oh-so cool and casually, in the hallway while working speaks to Kyle about the previous night and his again, erratic behavior. I’m assuming she does it this way, to make it seem inconsequential, and that she’s just doing her due diligence, and not to worry, we’re still chums, instead of presenting it as a true reprimand.

When actually, it should be a serious matter, because didn’t Sandy tell him he had one more chance, and if someone complained about him again, he was off the boat??

So far, he’s had altercations and issues getting along with Nat, Jess, Max, and now Jack and Lily. Lily’s been here for five minutes, and she already fucking hates him.

Tumi, as chief stew. and his supervisor, should be addressing this in a professional way, and with a little more urgency. She’s all smiles, as she approaches him, as if it’s no big deal that he’s getting complaints again from two more people. Two more people!!

Kyle recounts the exchange quite differently than how it actually happened. They end light-hearted and laughing, so like I said, she enables him.

Tumi complains to Sandy about Lily being hungover, but not about Kyle having more altercations and complaints from crew.

Sandy goes to her cabin and orders her to get up and get to it. Why is Sandy doing this, and not Tumi? This is not appropriate. Whatever. she asks for twenty minutes and she emerges.

Of course she’s greeted with assholes up in the air. So basically Lily is Max, when he first came on board. And look at him now, with positive reinforcement, encouragement, and explanations of what to do, and what not to do, he’s actually a good deckhand.

And Lily seems to me that she wants to do a good job, and cares. She’s not a &&&& So let’s see how this all pans out. Not that’s it’s a contest as to who does a better job encouraging and training a lackluster employee, but let’s see who did a better job.

So Lara dabbles in opera singing. Like, who knew. And Hayleigh is a scuba diving instructor. Very multi-faceted group.

They give Lily a hard time for not being caught up in laundry. Sandy radios for shirts. Jess and Tumi bitch at her. In her yap she feels like they’re not giving her a fair chance considering her inexperience.

******

Guests arrive. This group may be more of a challenge than the last two. Actually I think they’ve had all easy to please guests so far. They sound very New York.

We have a guest named Amish (pronounced A-MEESH) who is already shitfaced at lunchtime. This is the one that’s a problem, I think.

It’s still tense with Kyle and Jack, probably more so now.

Sandy’s doing her micromanaging, although she is better this season, and radios for the garbage to be taken out.

Hayleigh handles the scuba divers like a pro. So all three deckhands are with the scuba divers and Luka is in bed, so that seemed strange.

Everyone is back at the boat, and there’s all of this break talk, so apparently Luka is not organized with who should be on break, and when, to make sure that they’re covered at all times. He does seem like he’s getting a little too comfortable.

The tenders are packed up, and ‘The Mentalist’ needs to be collected.

Tumi, who’s perfect you know, thinks that Luka should have checked with her. No, she should have let him know. Like stop passing the buck. Just say you forgot. It’s not Luka’s responsibility to ‘check with you.’ It’s not even that big of a deal.

Also, since he’s a ‘mentalist’ can’t he just think about being on the boat, and it just happens??

So this dude is impressive, and I think it was for real. Like there’s no way these guests could have pulled off acting, at their astonishment of his accurate mind reading.

Luka haphazardly did the break schedules, and he manages to have everyone on their breaks, and sound asleep at the same time, as he’s taking the Mentalist home. The stews are calling for someone to help with service.

Sandy of course hears, and runs to the galley to check out the sitch, and now she’s pissed at Luka again.

So she wasted the yelling at him for the crew mess, just to demonstrate that she can get pissy with the deck crew too. If she just would have been patient, she would have had a real reason to bitch at him.

Sandy orders Lara up (and not very nicely) even though she’s on watch later, from 10pm-3am. If she just could have waited two minutes, Luka would have known to get Max up, whose break was almost over, instead of waking up Lara.

Sandy just stop. Jess or Lily could’ve stopped cleaning the cabins and carried plates for five minutes, instead of going nuts waking up the deck crew. She needs to fucking chill.
