Challenge: Design work uniforms for the Below Deck crew with a little more flair than they normally have, which wouldn’t take much. I find it kind of strange that they’re designing crew uniforms instead of going out gear, but I think that’s because uniforms are more challenging. They have to be cute, yet functional.
He makes them meet him on the pier, since of course the crew arrives by boat.
“Isn’t it gorgeous out?” “Yes.” They all dutifully answer, while wearing huge parkas and shivering.
Some of the most recent and popular crew members emerge from the boat. I’m okay with all of the clients, with the exception of course, of Captain Creepo!!!
Riddle me this SandCrap. Why no reunion? I know why, and if you don’t know why after watching the season when she stepped in for Lee – then, I don’t know. To each their own if you think this lady doesn’t have serious issues, and should have been held accountable for her behavior.
I feel bad for the crew. Guessing they weren’t allowed to wear jackets. They look freezing! Last season, two years ago, I think they filmed over the summer months. Not the case this time. I’m guessing they wanted the designers to see the current uniforms. They couldn’t let the ladies throw a jacket over their shoulders?
Lee instructs them that they have to stick with black and white, but for the trim, go crazy. I’ll bring this up again later. Looks like the crew/designer assignments are randomly chosen by Lee

Every time I see Captain Creepo on my screen, I want to throw up in my mouth. Anxious to see if when she returns, and I’m assuimg she is, that’s why Bravo protected her, if Bravo told her to stop her creeping on the girls.
I doubt she’ll be able to stop. She’s a fucking skeeve fest. She tells Bishme she wants bling on her belt. Shut up. SO glad she got paired with a dude. I see she’s treating him better than she treated Fraser. She seemed to be put off by Fraser due to his femininity and gayness. Which is a thing sometimes for gay women.
Aesha is hilarious. Designers seem all about the jumpsuit for the dudes. For me, it’s giving prison uniform, and not sure about the kimono Asian flair thing Anna wants to do for Jason.
Think Gary knows better than to hit on Laurence. She would kick his ass with her eyes closed and one hand tied behind his back. Totally not his type.
Is Captain Creepo intentionally trying to sabotage Bishme by asking for the bedazzling?? She knows her uniform can’t be covered in sequins? She is SUCH A DICK. Luckily he knows better, and is adding some lace type lapel. I actually have a dress that looks something like this.
Anna seems to me, to just sort of dance to the beat of her own drum, which isn’t necessarily a horrible quality, in a creative person. But she does what she wants to do, regardless of the challenge ‘rules.’ It’s just probably not going to do her any favors here. I get she wanted to add an Asian influence to represent her style, but this was not the challenge to do that in. He tells her it needs to be perfect.

Below Deckers arrive for their initial fittings.
Kara Saun is funny asking Mzi if he wants to change in the restroom and not in front of her. Mzi’s so stinking cute. And I like Kara Saun too. Daisy’s is giving me sort of a 70’s flight attendant vibe.
Christian is being all judgy about the girls’ skirts being kind of short and revealing. Not sure what Christian is missing. Does he not watch the show? They need easy access, lol. Just kidding. Sort of.
The BD’ers are being so sweet to their designers. Not to beat a dead horse, there was only ONE Bravoleb between this season, and last that was a total see you next Tuesday to her designer, and that was Wendy Osfeo. What a horrible human. Captain Creepo’s even managing to act normal.
Brittany admits to being extra challenged because she’s not used to designing mens’ clothing. Christian is making her extra nervous, which I’m not sure is deserved. Is he trying to get her eliminated?
Wondering what Colin’s and Daisy’s status was when this was filmed? Seems like they were ‘together’ when this was filmed.
Speaking of what I just touched on, they flash on Wendy’s extreme mistreatment of Kristina, when Praje brings up how there was crying when the Housewives were on last season.
He’s telling this as if there was more that one Housewife acting like a spoiled child, and all the designers were crying. Nope it was just Wendy. The others were so sweet and understanding with their designers, even if they weren’t thrilled with the outcome. They were supposed to be ‘reunion looks’ but were under zero obligation to wear the garments. Wendy knew this. She had her fucking lip on her lap the entire time. It was embarrassing. Kristina was looking at her like she’s a moron.
I’m glad they flashed those scenes to remind viewers who may have forgotten. I did not forget. That was actually my all-time personal best as far as Twitter views, when I shared my opinion of her behavior on that episode. Think I was in the 40,000’s.
Wendy didn’t think Kristina’s design accentuated her new ass and titties enough. What a fucking twat. Nobody cared about your ass and titties Wendy, NOBODY CARED. Not even your fucking husband. That’s why he talks to booty models online. He was probably elated she was in New York City for a few days.

That’s a wrap on the design day, and the designers are meeting the BD Crew for drinks. We’re literally cutting Gary loose in the Big Apple, I’m worried.
Shots are being served, and Anna screams this was her first tequila in year, since she just had a baby. She missed it so much, she does several more. Guess who moves in for the kill?
Brittany seems to me to be more his type, but producers must have noticed Anna downing shots. Also, she’s married, so that makes it a little more interesting. I really doubt this was organic.
A little bit of a surprise when Anna goes outside with Gary. Not surprised, Gary starts the love-bombing. He calls her a ‘super star’ and tells her she’s “so cute.”I misunderstood first time I watched, the “divorced for two days” comment I now get. I thought she meant that she was divorced, and was final two days ago.
She just meant she’s pretend divorced for two days. I know she was tipsy, but I’m sure the husband was not excited to see this.
Anna: “I want to party with you more.” This is Gary. Things NOT to say to Gary King. Inside the guys are concerned for her. They should be. They must watch the show.
No Gary drama Anna promises in her yap. Excellent idea. Also no hangover.
Unbelievably or I guess totally believably, Gary immediately starts stalking on Anna as soon as he walks in the door, the next day for the runway show. She’s in deep concentration mode, and ignores him.
I would love to know if this was prodocer induced or not. It’s a very Gary thing to do but wouldn’t you think he would be able to read the fucking room here? And see that he shouldn’t be bugging her right now? She doesn’t even look his direction. He walks away.
I think it’s strange the girls are wearing heels with these ‘uniforms.’ Since Anna blew Gary off, he hits up Daisy. She’s always a sure thing to boost his ego. She turns on her cringy flirt mode. “I’ve worn heels plenty of times of your boats.” HIS boats?? Girl.
Mzi looks cool, but not like a deckhand.
It’s the last minute crunch, to get their looks together, literally. I just don’t know how they do this, I really don’t. Creativity should not be rushed and thrown together at the last minute! Bishme helps Brittany finish up. Love when the designers help each other out.
Anna is always in her own world. She doesn’t see any issue with Jason’s kimono/jumpsuit and I can already tell the judges are going to hate it.
“I feel bad you guys are under so much pressure.” Shut up Sandy. Clearly none of these people have ever watched Project Runway.
Runway Time —
Nina is back. I don’t get the big fuss over her. I didn’t miss her.
Great, my other least favorite, BD Bravoleb, Kate Chastain. Now I’m probably sounding like I have issues with everyone. Which I don’t. I just don’t like bullies and tyrannical managers. She’s so fake and phony, Just like Captain Creepy.
Known for her “ferocious wit??” Well something is ferocious about her, and it’s NOT her ‘wit.’ She treats people horribly. She probably thinks it’s a compliment to be referred to as ferocious.
Luann from RHONY also guest judging, I’m okay with Lu. As long as she doesn’t sing. She was one of the Housewives last season on the Housewife challenge. She was super sweet to Chantel.
Korto is actually not getting on my nerves this episode.
Bishme/Aesha – I like it, like Daisy’s it’s giving me flight attendant. It fits her like a glove and is a little sexy. Which is fine.
Laurence/Gary – think I like Gary better with his man bun, He gives me kind of cave man vibes when it’s down. The jacket is cute other than that it seems plain and nothing really interesting or extra.
Korto/Daisy – cute. I like the neon pop.
Kara Saun/Mzi – again he looks great, but more action movie type look, as Kara Saun points out when she says he looks like something out of a Bond movie. I’m thinking Men in Black. Brandon mutters under h is breath “warm dress uniform.” He’s annoying. Even though I agree with him, he’s still annoying.
Rami/Courtney – She looks adorable, but then again, she’s C ourtney, Her walk is killer, but again flight attendant, I don’t why. Vented sleeves good idea, and I like that she’s in sneakers instead of heels.
Brittany/Colin – He looks great, she was so worried but she seems to have pulled it out. It fits him great and looks really comfy. I can’t believe she did this. I am so jealous that t hey can do this.
Anna/Captain Jason – At first when I saw it, I had hope, but then I saw the judges’ faces. I think she should have defended it as something he could wear when they’re docked, and in the evenings when he’s sort of ‘off.’ It IS different, and that was part of the assignment. Make them to not look so blah.
Last and certainly LEAST – Sandy Captain Creepy Sandy, whose designer is Prajje. The lace look lapel does remind me of a dress I have. Now I have to throw it away. I’m joking. Obviously if I have a dress that resembles this pattern, I do like it. I think Prajje followed the assignment, by listening to her wanting a little something extra, and it still looks professional and functional. Not sure why the judges gave him such a hard time. Maybe they hate Sandy too.
The breakdown: Rami’s design is a like. Nina wants to know if it passes the twerk test. Courtney complies.
Daisy’s uniform is an overall like. I’m okay with it. I love me a romper. My critique would be, how short the shorts are, then paired with the extremely high heels that she can barely walk in. I realize the heels were for runway purposes, but still, that would not have been my choice
Jason’s look, Anna’s design – not a like. I think they could’ve cut her a break since they did agree on the Asian influence, and like I said above, she should’ve sold it a more casual look. Not for greeting, or having dinner with the guests. They basically rip it apart. I knew she was leaving in this moment.
Aesha/Bishme gets good grades. Again, I wouldn’t have done the stilettos. I would say hers is my favorite. This design I could see as even being picked up and worn by the stews. They love the anchor.
Sandy/Prajje – they hate it. I don’t agree with the costumey comment. He looks so sad. They have a problem with her loafers, but not with the stews’ stilettos? That’s stupid. Clearly I’m the only one that likes this pattern. Maybe I should get rid of my dress. Nina tells him she should not have included the patterned portions? But then it would have literally been basic black, when the challenge was to make them fashionable and not boring. I don’t get it. And I thought the Captain’s hat was cute. Even though it’s Sandy.
Gary/Laurence – she defends the leather jacket as being for play time, and they seem okay with that. Overall, it’s a meh. There isn’t anything special with the jumpsuit.
Mzi’s look designed by Kara Saun – too much. Too blingy, not functional. She calls it a special event uniform, and not for the deck. But wasn’t the assignment to design work uniforms? Deckhands don’t really need ‘dressy’ uniforms. I don’t know why she’s comparing this to military looks and uniforms. Not the same.
They love Colin’s designed by cutie Brittany. I initially thought it was a jumpsuit. Like Aesha’s look, I could totally see this being worn as new updated uniforms for the crew.
Jason is really sweet and encourages and consoles Anna when they go to the back. Do you see anyone else being a fucking douche to their designer? No. (Wendy, pay attention)
Ramy, Bishme, Brittany are top three. Bishme wins the challenge.
