I got inspired for this cocktail from the Atlanta episode when they were in Portugal. It’s called ‘porn star’ I was reading, due to the golden/yellow tint of the drink? Not sure what’s ‘porn star’ about that? You can research it if you want.
My version actually was not this color. And that would be due to the fact, that I inadvertently bought the wrong exotic fruit. I got a dragon fruit instead of a passion fruit, which are a yellowish color. But that’s okay! You know I like to put my own spin on my Bravo-inspired dishes and cocktails anyway.
And guess what color it turned out to be? A gorgeous pink ! So I say win-win!! These measurements should make two good-sized drinks. They’re supposed to be in coupes, but of course use a martini glass, or whatever.
4 oz vanilla vodka
1 dragon fruit, pureed – (cut in half, and scoop out the flesh, and puree in blender or food processor)
juice of 1 lime
1 oz simple syrup (boil equal amounts of sugar and water, and cool)
4 oz dragon fruit vitamin water, or juice
ice
lime slice for garnish
Shake all in cocktail shaker with ice. I did strain the seeds out of the pureed dragon fruit, but you probably wouldn’t totally need to. Pour into whatever glass you decide, and enjoy! Perfect and refreshing for summer!!
