The first thing I want to say about this Docu-mini-series on Mary, Robert and this so-called church, before I dive into the final episode, is enough about the whining that the producers used clips and shots of social media posts without the OP’s ‘permission.’
Guys, girls, and everyone, once you make posts on ‘X’ IG, FB etc, it’s ‘your’ post, yes, but you technically don’t ‘own’ it, the platform in which you posted it, owns it.
These content creators/influencers, etc should have been thrilled for the free shout-outs. They freely showed the names of the OP’s and the influencers’ faces and voices. TLC didn’t need to ‘ask’ them to use it.
Is this really the point of the series? Is this how stupid we’ve become?
They used viewers’ SM clips as a way to showcase what was being said, as this disgusting corruption was being revealed? What the fuck is wrong with you people? Innocent people were being abused, robbed, exploited, harassed and screamed at by these two devils, and THIS is literally your concern and your takeaway??
If this ‘Up and Adam’ kid is pissed, then he can take it up with TLC. He’s a big boy. It’s no skin off our noses. Again, if I were him I would be thankful for the free advertising of his You Tube channel, as well as all of the other posts and videos they showed from viewers and infuencers.
Rosemary’s death was definitely sketchy so there is possibly MURDER is involved, but viewers are worried about social media interviews, videos and posts being featured?
Congregants were being held hostage until they donated to Mary’s shopping addiction, Mary is being sold as a literal GOD to the parishioners, she ridiculed a young woman with two babies, dying in a horrific car crash, then ordered her congregation to not help the family with funeral expenses, acted as a literal whore by having sex with that Cameron dude (who dies after surgery directly after he spoke out about this) then demanding $300g from him, lied that her grandmother ‘wanted her’ to marry her husband, Robert is hitting on Mary’s cousin’s wife…
I could go on and on, and on some more, but people are hyper fixated on them not ‘asking’ influencers to use a little content and not paying them???

Mary’s mom, Rosalind then starts her own church.
If you recall, Mary always sold her estrangement from her mom as jealousy because she claims her mom thought she should have been the one to ‘have’ Robert (as if he’s a catch) and inherit the church and businesses.
Literally have you ever in however many years you’ve been of this earth, heard of someone’s spouse being handed down like fucking property?? LIKE what in the Utah is going on here??

Did she perhaps think she trumped Mary as Rosemary’s daughter, and thought she should ‘inherit’ the church, property and businesses? Probably. Or at least it should have been split among her and her siblings, and not just handed to her twenty-four yer old daughter via pervo Robert Cosby, who wanted to bang a much younger prettier girl.
That’s what it actually boils down to. Let’s just call a spade a spade. Not mincing words is kind of my schtick, so there you have it. Anyone who sees this as anything else as to why Mary was ‘chosen’ (along with her being a money-grubbing ho) is an idiot.
Bravo content creator Adam of ‘Up and Adam’ interviewed Rosalind and her husband back in 2021ish, I remember watching this, where they debunk this notion that Mary marrying Robert was Mama’s wish or instructions.
They say Robert manipulated and convinced Mary of this, which may be true, but I have a feeling she knew that was fucking crap, but pretended to buy it to justify this borderline-incestuous relationship. And naturally, she was liking the fact that Robert had the wallet.
Even in that yap in Season 1 of Robert and Mary together, where Mary claims their marriage was ‘in her will’ (when there was no will) you hear Robert scoffing at that, and corrects her that Rosemary merely mentioned that if anything happens to her, he should marry ‘one of her girls.’
I’m sure IF she said this which is doubtful, it may have been a joke.
So my point here is, that it’s on record of Robert disclosing he was never instructed to marry Mary, so who is she is trying to fool here?? Also anyone with a fucking brain should know it sounds like horse shit.
More SLC yaps run of Mary sounding like a blubbering fool justifying her takeover of Granny’s husband and church as simply following her wishes, when we know it was 100% money motivated.
So the whole energy in the church changes after Mary takes over the sermons.
She starts scolding, chastising and humiliating the congregants about speaking with her mom’s congregants. This is the beginning of the cult-like energy of the church. Mary, who’s such a ‘rule follower’ that she married Mama’s skeevy husband, fucking knows this is not what her grandmother wanted. This is not how she ran this church.
Cameras were installed in the nave area aimed directly at the parishioners. Mary would watch in her absence, and call people on their phones to tell them to stop what they were doing if she saw something she didn’t like.
Fuzzy sweater guy clarifies that Mama used cameras, but to watch the others giving sermons for inspiration or to make sure they were doing a good job.
Confessions: These were being fucked with as well. Who didn’t see THAT coming? They started telling the other congregants confessions that were made to them in confidence.
This seems like a common practice in a dictatorship environment. Turning people against each other. You get everyone fighting, then they look to you for guidance.
The ‘confessions’ were in letter form. Mama kept them confidential. Mary did not.
The cult expert verifies turning people against each other and breaking them down to make them feel ashamed is a common practice for cults. It instills fear and control.
They show an early scene of Jen Shah (like who’s she to talk, but she seems to be credible in this instance) getting really fired up about what she’s being told about how Mary runs the church, by a friend.
The journalist who did the investigation shares that they used parishioners to ‘work for them’ at their home without paying them. Isn’t there a cousin that’s been on the show, that was doing shit for her at the house? I think he was doing the church remodel too. Mary always bitches that he’s too slow. Well Mary you’re not paying him, so shut it.
One of the parishioners, Rosalind Enochs (not Mary’s mom) shares that in 2000-2005 she lived with them and did work in their home such as housekeeping and errands, and was never ever paid.
They show a scene of Season 1 of Robert demanding an unpaid housekeeper to bring Mary her tray, and not very nicely.
Rosalind shares that her friend Pat, who also worked for them, how they spoke to her horribly, and referred to her as their slave, and that she’s going to hell if they don’t do what they say.
Pat passed away just in 2024 of ‘natural causes.’ She was 81, and still working for free for Robert and Mary. Hmmm. Wondering if they got wind of her complaining and she died at the house?
Someone really should look into the deaths of Rosemary, Cameron and this lady Pat. I get it she was 81, but not sick, natural causes? It sound sus just like Mary’s grandmother dying suddenly at home at 65 having only high blood pressure as a health issue. Cheyenne should do some investigative journalism on this. And I’m serious.
And we have Mary this season of SLC, being judge and jury of Meredith’s fucking mood swings.

A congregant, Susie, who was Pat’s sister, shares that the demand for money got even more high-pressure. Her brother was giving a lot to the church. Susie refers to it as Robert and Mary being “after his money with a vengeance.”
The guy is a bus driver for fucks sake.
Season 1 was airing at this time of Mary frequently bragging about all of her designer clothing and accessories, and not having space for all of it.
Susie shares that up until the point of the show, she had no clue about their ‘wealth’ or possessions. I mean, what exactly did they think was being done with all of this cash?
And I hate to sound like some big bad IRS wolf, I’m not the tax police, but were they paying taxes on any of this? Yes, it was under the guise of donations, but it was actually their income.
If the feds came after the Guidice’s in Jersey for unclaimed income as evidenced by all the cash being flashed around on the show, why aren’t we knocking on the Cosby’s door??
Susie soon gets a call from Mary ‘kicking her out’ of the church. I assume the brother told Mary that Susie advised him to stop donating, after watching the show and getting suspicious.
After Pat passed away, they tell her she’s not ‘allowed’ to attend the funeral.
What the FUCK? I’m assuming they paid for her funeral and burial, which is shocking. I’m assuming the service was held in their wackadoodle ‘church.’
The cult expert shares that it’s common in cults for someone that’s not being obedient (such as Susie suggesting her brother stop donating) to be removed and not wanted around the other members. Susie was catching on to their slimy schtick and they wanted her out of the way. I’m shocked she’s lived to tell about it.
Kim Cosby, who is Mary’s cousin Dan’s wife, speaks on how close she was with Mary at one time, and she went on a trip to California with Robert and Mary. Her husband did not go. They were chatting on the hotel balcony, Mary leaves about Kim and Robert discuss the beauty of God, and the ocean, stuff like that, whatever. Kim said it seemed super chill and relaxed and that’s all it was.
They get back to Utah and Kim gets a call from Mary accusing her of wanting Robert and Mary’s life.
These mother fuckers are unhinged.
Robert started ordering her to the house for ‘counseling’ and accused her of being jealous of Mary, in love with him, and lusting after him. Euw. Have we seen him??
Susie starts questioning herself as to whether or not this is true, since she trusted Robert as her Bishop.
Again, another extreme mind-control type of behavior, trying to alter someone’s perception.
Robert starts texting and calling her constantly. If she didn’t answer their calls, there would then be a barrage of threatening text messages from both of them.
I don’t even get why they were harassing this woman. She’s family. Over this casual convo about God on the balcony with Robert? Why did Mary suddenly disappear when they were all three sitting there? It seems pretty obvious she was set up.
With everyone starting to have smart phones, harassment gets increasingly worse since everyone can be immediately contacted.
Mary and Robert begin holding Kim hostage at their house, and attempting to turn her against Dan. They soon involve their daughters and tried to isolate them from him as well.
Kim says it was a frequent practice of theirs to befriend one half of a couple in order to create a divide.
I’m not any kind of cult or mind-control expert, but this all sounds like Establishing a Cult 101. If you don’t think that watching this shit, then you’re pretty dumb and probably would have fallen for these two wacko’s bullshit if you were a member of this so-called church.
Dan shares that he got randomly shoved hard at the church by Robert at one point for no reason. He then receives a disturbing text from Mary, and she removes him form the church.
This was around the time RHOSLC premiered.
They start drilling into the congregants that they had to accept Mary as a ‘spokesperson fro God.’
Her sister Denise didn’t approve of the whole Housewife thing, so they immediately wanted her out of the church. I’m surprised she was even part of it at this point, given her feelings about Mary.
She tells a story of having bad knees, and was in a congregation with Robert giving a sermon, gets a little excited and falls. Mary and Robert start laughing at her.
People really believed that they had to go along with her to get into heaven? They believed that. Even her sister who never seemed to respect Mary. This is what I don’t get about people that are extremely religious. Like how can you be that naive?
At this point Denise starts to see the light – literally – in the way that she tells it, that her sister is running a cult. She leaves and ‘snaps out of it.’
So they play some Reunion clips from the first season, which was clearly ‘covid’ era, because everyone is sitting ‘six feet apart’ (speaking of mind control bullshit.)
Robert attends virtually, (I’m not feeling like I have memory of this reunion for some reason) and is visibly agitated.
He clearly didn’t want Mary doing the show because he didn’t want their shysty dealings outed. The dude looks like he’s ready to punch someone. Good thing he’s not here in person. Poor little Andy might not be with us today. This dude is NOT a good guy. I mean COME ON. This is a BISHOP of a church?? Like what are you so pissed about dude??? Oh you’re being accused of something you’re definitely doing?? Nothing pisses off a NARCISSIST more than that.
During this timeline, Robert calls Kim, with Dan present and offers to fly her to Vegas with him, and demands that she tells him that she loves him.

Keep in mind, Dan considers Robert his ‘grandad’ since he was married to his grandmother.
Clearly he didn’t think she was with Dan at the time he called. He orders her to call him back ‘when she can talk.’

There were other women in the congregation that he was hitting up as well. Kim is pretty. I’m sure he’s picking and choosing the ladies that are attractive.

So now we dive into Robert’s habit of coming onto the ladies. Apparently this was not unusual.

Mary didn’t attend the Reunion that year. I had forgotten that too. When someone won’t speak up on their own behalf, that’s very telling. Hmmm, reminds me of someone.

So in 2023, they introduce Mary back in the ‘friend’ role, in which if you recall, she was extremely cranky and refused to participate in most of the trips and activities. I thought it was so weird. I don’t recall any of the cult accusations getting addressed.
By the following season, she has a snowflake.
She had demands, according to Up and Adam, such as not discussing Robert, Sr nor her phony closed-up wacko church.
So that left her with having to have a semi-pleasant personality and engage with the ladies. That’s why we started seeing this fun lively cool Mary.
People’s personalities don’t fucking change. She’s simply been playing a part. Viewers noticed the new demeanor, and it worked. The Mary love started. I admit I got sucked in. I wasn’t posting about how much I ‘loved’ her, but I kind of ‘forgot’ about all of this too.
We did have the Jen Shah drama going on, and I think the Mary scandal got deleted from viewers’ brains to make room for Jen’s.
It’s almost like we were under some sort of mind-control, right? That’s embarrassing.
This documentary has shed more light on how fucked up it really was. We did know from the show in the first two seasons, and social media that the church had a bad rap for controlling behavior, and demanding large sums of money, and then it abruptly closes. There was also the scandal of Cameron, don’t forget that Mary was having an affair with and outed all of it.
They play a clip of an interview of Mary getting asked about the church and being a Housewife again, and she says “would I be on the show again if I were running a cult?” Well clearly the answer to that is, yes.
Cheyenne is so right. That IS what people tend to say when they are doing that very thing. Yes, Mary you would. It’s literally her mind-control behavior at work. Because they’re banking on people thinking that way. Liars will always tell on themselves.

He got accused of doing something at work years ago, which he definitely DID do, (breaking the breathalyzer thing, he was a cop) so he just puts it back broken, and didn’t say anything. At last year’s reunion, Mary was asked about the ‘renovations’ and you can tell she was uncomfortable, and very anxious to just give a quick answer and move on.

They play a clip of one of her services in the first two seasons, where she proclaims “God loved me first.”

Rosalind shares her hope that the current parishioners soon see the signs that this is not a good place. Perhaps they watched this.
