Well seems like the Brady Bunch Zoomunions are the way we are now rolling for the Below Deck Reunions since the scamdemic when all of the reunions were Zoom. I know, it’s challenging getting them all together, but they used to, so I don’t wanna hear that excuse. It’s just laziness and trying to make it seem like the BD Reunions are not important. I think before 2020 they had reduced them to being in the Clubhouse, which was also annoying. If we’re not doing BD in person reunions, then why should Southern Charm be in person? That would eliminate the ‘first chair’ BS that caused NaHOmie to go off the rails this past season, opening her legs up for everyone for popularity.
Apparently, as I recently learned, and I guess it doesn’t sound surprising, that Andy “hates the Below Deck Reunions.” Well then perhaps he should excuse himself from them. One of my Twitter fellow Bravo peeps had a suggestion that at first I was like “God, noooooooo!!!” but then after thinking about it for a minute, maybe it IS a good idea. If he really hates them that much, and is so not into them that he doesn’t want to bother with in-person reunions, why not have someone else host? Anyway her idea was Kate Chastain, who as you know, if you’ve been reading my blog, I DO NOT LIKE at all.
But, I think her ‘no nonsense’ attitude (I refer to her managing style as tyrannical and bullying…) would keep everyone held accountable for their bad behavior. And I would hope she wouldn’t be as biased as Andy is. We know there was a certain person on this reunion that Andy took it easy on. I would also hope she would give credit where credit is due. She may have a hard time with that one that one though.
Something to think about. She would be better at asking and fielding questions since she knows the job. If she was holding everyone accountable and putting cast members on the spot that totally have some ‘splaining to do, I could tolerate her for an hour every 3 – 4 months.
Okay so moving on – I wanted to get that off of my chest.
“That’s the enthusiasm I like” he tells Kyle when the go around with the hello’s. Not so much ‘enthusiasm’ as much as shitfaced. Looks like he had some cocktails, or some edibles.
The two that ‘declined’ their invitation, Jason and Tash, coincidentally the two that should be (and apparently are) ashamed of their behavior, and were too much of a coward to own up to it. Another viewer on Twitter suggested Bravo withhold their paychecks, or a large portion of it, until the reunion, and if they no show, then no get paid. For the chief stew to not participate is inexcusable.
Kate wouldn’t have fucked around with this idiotic ‘recorded message’ from Tash.
How disgraceful that they would allow that and humor her by playing that shit. Sandy looks none too pleased that she is a no show. Who really is surprised though? She should be on here owning this shit and apologizing for being such a fucking mess. And yes we know she has a new boyfriend. Fucking duhhh.
Andy asks her ‘soul mate’ Kyle why she decided to not attend, and he blurts out some excuse-making bull, “she’s working on another vessel (as they ALL are) and wanted to avoid the criticism, she chose emotional stability over everything else…”
Wow what a selfish little twat. Does she pay this dude to lie for her? Never mind everyone she fucked over and messed with for two fucking months during filming. There are perplexed and disapproving expressions all around, especially Andy, as Kyle rambles on with this foolishness that is coming off quite rehearsed, and definitely Tash’s orders. Does he seriously not see this chick is not really his friend??
Sandy chimes in corroborating these excuses, which is disappointing. “Maybe She just CAN’T.”
Right Sandy – she just CAN’T defend how terrible she was at managing her stews, terrible she was at her job, defend all of the texting, defend letting her responsibilities slide, defend her favoritism towards Kyle, admit Nat’s complaints and critiques were accurate, admit she played with Dave’s head, admit she purposely pinned Dave and Psycho against each other, admit how idiotic it was for her to reconcile with Psycho in the fist place… I mean, it’s A LOT. It’s even worse that Sailing Yacht’s Trashley, not attending, because she could no way explain her actions. At least Trashley was not the chief stew. Oh my God can you imagine? I wonder how l dong it would take her to start seducing and boning the captain??
Andy asks Dave if he thinks Tash’s treatment on social media is ‘unfair.’ Of course he feels like he has to baby her, and say that no one should be ‘abused.’ I don’t know if that description applies to a little brutal honesty on Twitter and Insta, but whatever. You reap what you sow. She chose to be the worst chief stew in BD history ever, and chose to dick around with people’s feelings and emotions, she chose to overwork one stew, and take it easy on another. And she chose to do this in front of a million people. Like don’t even get me started. He points out the names he has also been called, and he’s here answering to it.
Andy says he “hates it when people don’t show up ause they let other people speak on their behalf…” True, but I hope that’s not the real reason he hates it. It’s the cowardly way out, that’s what he needs to say. I see we’re all tiptoeing around her here already.
Don’t pay these assholes unless they show up. And yes, they should do the same with Housewives. Lip Licker not showing up on Beverly Hills was bull shit.
So we roll out with the Tash and Dave love affair gone sour. I love that they play the clip of her asking him if he wants to screw. Remember all, she DENIED that is what she said when she was on WWHL.
She claims to have said “what a crew.”
So right away we saw that she’s a fucking liar. So what else did she lie about? She’s been lying every single thing she does, if you ask me. She clearly was trying to diminish their relationship.
She never even cared about Dave. Perhaps planned to string him along then tell him to get lost. You don’t fuck with someone like this, that you know has genuine feelings for you, unless you’re some kind of mentally disturbed person. So one second she’s begging for sex, and shortly after this scene like the next fucking day, she’s telling him to get the fuck away from her, and made him feel like he’s some kind of fucking creeper.
There was no reason to ‘keep it a secret’ unless she was just fucking with everyone. Like so what, two crew members are banging. Yeah, it’s gossip for two seconds, but no one thinks it’s that big of a deal.
And the way she yelled at him at the club “we’re not in a relationship Dave!!” Yes, you were in a relationship! Even if you hadn’t put the BF/GF label on it yet, she was sleeping with him, and was emotionally involved with him. That is called a ‘relationship.’ A friendship is even a ‘relationship.’ To just wake up one day and stop talking to him, was totally such messy mind game fucking emotional torture. And she knows that.
I stand by Dave’s messages that night when she finally just said ‘fuck off I don’t like you anymore because it’s a new day’ after he begged and begged her for a response, were not THAT bad. What a fucking hypocrite to bitch about those messages, however tolerate the barrage of harassing NON STOP messages from that true psycho for the entire charter.
Wouldn’t she have been better off just placating Dave for the whole season, then dumping his ass afterwards? I know, it’s a TV show. This is why she was cast. I’m sure producers are asking questions and picking up on this kind of shit before they select the crew for the show. I’m sure she was making it obvi she’s addicted to toxic relationships, and any dudes giving her an ounce of attention is her ‘soul mate.’ They were like, “when can ya start?”
Mzi is so sweet when asked about Tash, “She IS lovely, but …” No Mzi she is the furthest fucking thing from ‘lovely.’
What Kyle is wearing is hideous. Poor Dave is still blaming himself and calling himself a dick, and that’s why Tash immediately tossed him to the side soon after wanting to be in the same cabin with him, begging him for sex, and making him feel special.

And see this part bothers me about Andy’s rhetoric towards him right now. The dude owned the ‘toxic’ and nasty messages he had sent her. He called her a slut, (she is) and called her out on her shitty behavior when he was hurt and upset. He should learn to at least come off as neutral. We know he has his own opinions and favorites, but he needs to learn to keep the reunions more with everyone on an even playing field. Same with Housewives Reunions.
“Where was your head?” he asks him. Pretty sure we know the answer to that. I sometimes wonder if Andy Cohen has ever even been in a serious relationship and/or been through a break-up in his life?? Something else recently with him made me wonder this. Don’t remember if it was another reunion? Maybe Southern Charm, and the stupid things he was saying to Taylor.
I don’t think Taylor was acting ‘odd’ or wrong at all, at the reunion given the fact of recently getting out of a two year relationship that ended badly. You also have to consider it was the first time she’d seen Shep since they broke up. I think she was pretty damned mature and calm. I would have totally been throwing something at his head, as he sat there and diminished their relationship and lied.
So back to Below Deck, Andy continues with his badgering of Dave. (I can kind of see Andy acting the same way, if a dude did this to him, JUST SAYIN) “toxic awful text messages.” Andy shut up.
Dave again explains for the 800th time, that it was out of frustration, because he kept that entire day trying to just talk to her and ask her for an explanation of the sudden cold shoulder. She continued to blatantly ignore him, and run away from him. Had she sat down privately like A NORMAL 4FUCKING PERSON, and explained what she was feeling, I am sure he would not have reacted that way. Can we PAHLEASe move on??
Why don’t we pick on Kyle for exaggerating an injury to get out of working and STILL collecting his portion of the tip? Oh no, can’t do that, Andy’s gotta have KYLE’S fucking back, and we know why.
Maybe Dave should have pretended to ‘come out’ and pretend he was gay shortly before the reunion filming. Then Andy would shut the fuck up. He keeps going – “when you see how intense you were do you regret it?” Again the dude has said he regrets it and apologized over and over Andy. Fuck.
Sandy admits that she didn’t know the other side of the story. Meaning I assume she didn’t realize how Trash was fucking with him, and even calls Dave “the best chef ever on Below Deck.” So I would say that’s quite the compliment. And he didn’t even let this horse shit with Trash distract him from his job, for the most part, except the night she was bored later, and pissed off at the Psycho, and started fucking with him again.
Sandy goes on to say Tash wasn’t transparent and was not honest with him, and he is owning what he did wrong, and that’s character. Well put Captain Sandy! Also a subtle dis on Trash being a no-show here tonight. So that therefore lead to the extreme frustration on Dave’s part. Now shut it Andy. Come back and be judgy when you actually finally have a boyfriend or partner, and can comprehend the way relationships and feelings work.
Everyone agrees except for Kyle and Andy, not sure what he has against Dave, maybe he has a secret crush on him and he’s acting out, like second grade boys do, when they like a girl, that “Dave got done dirty.” Well then there you go.

Kyle in his Miami Vice meets Santa Claus outfit says, actually surprisingly defends Dave by pointing out (what I’ve been saying!!) the CRA CRA UNHINGED messages from the exBF-turned BF-turned- ex-BF were toxic and unhinged, not Dave’s little tantrum one time.
“He was bat shit insane.” Yet she chose to reconcile with him. Kyle clarifies what we already knew, of course she’s now not with him, and of course she has a new dude. (a songwriter singer and they are sooooooo in love!!) I wish the psycho dude would show his face!!
Andy just to be a dick, then says “Dave, you are currently single?”
And now this excruciating video message from Trash. Which isn’t even worth discussing. She uses the excuse of not being able to attend, due to work. Woman, it’s a Zoom call. Just stop lying for one fucking minute. “Lifelong soul mate” she says about the dude she just met a month prior, just to stick it to Dave. I hate this girl.
Now to add to the BS video message, there’s also a BS written message.
Sandy: “she is sincere and has regrets about what happened.” Well obviously she regrets it, I would sure as fuck hope so. My God.
Courtney has some words of wisdom: “If you’re going to be in a management position, you can’t run away from negativity, you need to be able to manage a situation.” Sandy gives her some 5encouragement that she would make a great bosun. Yeah she has a hard on for Courtney. She loves the cute blondes.
Now Raygan and her incompetence, has joined the party. Sandy had to know she didn’t have the experience for this position. Think it was the cute blonde thing again. I feel like she was set up for failure. Had she ever even lead a crew before? You have to start somewhere, I get that, but she didn’t even seem to be an experienced deck hand. While I appreciate Sandy’s efforts of hiring female deck crew and bosuns, it doesn’t always mean they’re the best fit for the job. You don’t hire someone just to fill a certain demographic. Then you end up with a Raygan. Or someone else I won’t get into, not related to Bravo.
They play the clip of Sandy dismissing her from her duties, and telling her “I can tell you haven’t run a deck crew.” Well not to split blonde hairs, but wouldn’t her CV have also told you that?? Hiring yacht staff isn’t my area of expertise, but shouldn’t Storm, with more deckhand experience, have been the bosun originally, and Raygan a deckhand?
Her audio is terrible, and I don’t know what she said in her defense, something something and “I should have just quit in the first place.” Assuming she quickly realized she was in over her head.
It seems like she thought it was more of a ‘cushy’ type job. I don’t know, maybe she never watched Below Deck, and thought all she had to do was stand around and look cute.
Now they address the CV. Sandy says the issue came down to being a larger vessel, and not realizing the responsibilities involved. Also getting extremely trashed and being hungover on like her second day wasn’t helpful. And to blame food poisoning? Maybe I’ll try that next time! Sandy was gracious to Raygan. She just was not qualified for that position, and should never have been put in that position.
I actually hope to see her back as a deckhand. She seems like she would be entertaining.
Lead Deckhand drama, which you all know how I feel about, it seems like a made up title just to cause drama on the show. Not sure if it’s even a ‘thing’ in yachting.
They always seem to choose NOT really the person who deserves it and is the one more experienced – (Malia, Izzy, Courtney, Jake) a lot of girls which is GREAT, don’t get me wrong, but that also adds to the drama when the dudes have to answer to a girl, sadly. It seems to me to be more of an ‘encouragement’ position, than an actual leadership position. Like a “hey, you’re doing great, keep it up.” That’s really not what a promotion should be about. It should be about the more/most experienced person leading the lesser experienced ones. If someone is doing a great job, just tell them they’re doing a great job, or give them a raise.
Mzi clearly expected to honor, and I don’t think really because they were friends, because he had more experience than Courtney. He looked like he wanted to punch Storm in the side of the head when he disclosed his decision at the restaurant. I agree not the best time, but disagree with Nat that it was THAT big of an issue. It was on his mind, and he wanted to express it. Also not even her department. She could have just told him later, “not the way I would have done it, but whatever no harm done.” Or just left it go. Yeah they had a few cocktails, but no one was shitfaced. Who cares. It’s not like this is the corporate world. It’s fucking yachting. Different rules. We give promotions in bars. I don’t think Storm needs to apologize. It’s not even a real promotion. Next??
Mzi even referred to it as “soul destroying.” Yeah it was fucked up. While I love Courtney and think she was doing a good job, and I’m all about positive reinforcement, it did seem a bit too much in her case. Like every time the girl lifted a finger, “GREAT JOB!! YOU’RE KILLIN IT!!”
Moving on to Jason’s abrupt departure and Reid’s entrance to the team. Now we recap Reid’s “narcissistic” commentary, when Courtney made a joke to Mzi about ‘fancying her’ which was also a joke, but Reid’s unfortunately fell flat, didn’t ‘land’ whatever, because Courtney didn’t understand the word. Then Reid defined the word, and it went down hill from there. I honestly don’t think he thought she was narcissistic in the real sense of the word. So let’s move on from this. Poor Reid felt bad, and continues to feel bad. This is not the most exciting reunion show in Below Deck history.
Nat and Storm boatmance. Inquiring minds want to know – did they just cuddle?? Sounds like little more than cuddling took place. Bosun’s locker seems to be where the very romantic interludes went down, where the magic happened.
Was the watch gift too much too soon? No, it’s not a condo. Let’s just stop with stretching to make it the biggest fucking deal ever. Nat gets a little snark in with telling him she’ll return it to give it to his sister, as it was intended.
Storm and Mzi got tattoos of each other. Okay, that’s different. Cute, but different. Andy tells them they should get together.
Nat refers to Storm as being part of her ‘routine’ and that’s why she couldn’t stick with breaking it off with him when there started to be too much bickering on their nights out. You could take that to sound offensive, but I don’t think she meant that in a dismissive bad way, like oh he was just who was there, whatever. (like Tash) She meant she liked their interaction, he was comforting and she didn’t want to lose that. Storm is looking at her lovingly, and doesn’t seem like he’s offended. I think he gets what she’s trying to say, and agrees. I kind of think that’s how most of the boatmances are. Routines, that make you feel like you’re so in love, when you’re really not, but it’s comforting.
At least Nat had the maturity to see it was just a boatmance. Not like the usual chicks on Below Deck, that SERIOUSLY think they’re leaving these charters and living happily ever after with their dude they hook up with. I feel almost bad for them when the dudes are like – “uhhh yeah, I never want to see you again, I just wanted to get fucked while working the charter.” I mean COME ON ladies! Wise up!!!
Honestly I don’t condone tattling, but Tash and her shitty management capabilities, coupled with her obsession to have her phone shoved up her vagina constantly, so she could answer harassing text messages every five minutes from Captain Psycho, forced Nat to have to go over her head.
Tash wasn’t even completing her own responsibilities, let alone delegating and making sure her stews’ tasks were complete. She even admitted in a yap, his constant torment and whining was distracting her from her job.
Nat was right to be upset that the cabin wasn’t cleaned while she took the guests to the beach. They didn’t do it because of poor leadership, and they just didn’t give a two fucks. And Kyle knew that whole ‘head of housekeeping’ was fucking crap to try to make himself out to be above her. Like did he just pull that phrase out of asshole? I’ve never even heard that being used on any Below Deck ever in ten fucking years. And to add insult to injury, it was on the charter with those trashy bondage or whatever, chicks that were just using those desperate old dudes for a free bougie vacay. They weren’t contributing to the tip. That chick needed zero apology that her room wasn’t cleaned. ZERO. Clean your own fucking room HO. You clearly know how to get on your knees. It was all just insulting to Nat, who was the hardest working stew on the boat, hands down. He knew he was fucked when she overheard him saying that. Then he runs off to tattle to Tash about her telling him about it.
He ends up apologizing and using ‘exhaustion’ as an excuse. Which I call bullshit on, because he had no reason to be exhausted. He’s lazy, and Tash gave him the encouragement to be lazier.
Nat says it wasn’t snitching, they’re not in prison. (good one) She merely followed hierarchy to go above Tash’s head, (she tried speaking to Tash, remember) because Tash was honestly displaying a complete dereliction of duty, in the name of catering to this hot fucking mess of a crazy dude in a phone. So unprofessional, and she knows this. Hence her absence here. Kyle knows it’s true too.
He looks defeated and embarrassed. Is he speaking up? No, he’s not. He has no defense. Where is he anyway? Why is he sitting against this all white background he looks like he’s taking a mug shot.
Sandy gets asked for her input and says that “her drinks were more important than her duties on the boat.” Not to mention the constant cell phone in hand. That was taking up a shit load more time than making cocktails. Although she did spend too much time making elaborate unrequested cocktails.
Sandy thinks it was a problem that there was no 2nd and 3rd stew titles with Tash and Kyle. I disagree. I think it would have made things worse. If they had even or similar experience that it would have came down to Tash making the decision on who she liked better. In the very early few days of the charter, perhaps that would have been Nat, since that would have been before Kyle and Tash called each other their BFF’s and soul mates after knowing each other for a solid week. So I don’t know. Maybe if Nat was 2nd (that’s who deserves it) MAYBE it would have stopped the favoritism Tash was showing Kyle?
Sandy, when asked, says she is not interested in working with Tash again in the frazzled messy state she was in during this charter. I paraphrased but, that’s what she meant.
Andy asks Courtney to weigh in on the whole ‘cleaning of the VIP room’ drama. Kyle looks like he wants to go to sleep. He’s putting on lip balm. I’m totally not sure if he’s drunk or just smoked a big ole fattie. Maybe both. Shows how seriously he’s taking this. Just about as seriously as he took his job.
When is Andy asking about faking the ankle injury?? Oh I know, never. He’s getting gay guy favoritism. Pretty fucked up, Andy. Pretty. Fucked. UP.
Court also thinks no 2nd or 3rd stew assignments make trouble in dividing duties, etc, especially since they had a distracted shit for a manager. I guess it depends on the situation and the people. On the new Below Deck season that just started with Captain Lee, and Fraser as Chief stew, I’m already feeling like he made the wrong decision in assigning Alissa as 2nd stew. It doesn’t seem like she is any more capable than the other two.
Hey not that anyone asked, but I have an idea. When you have two stews with similar experience why do the Chief stews not wait until after a few charters to see who the harder worker is, and who is more capable of being in a leadership position? Much like the lead deckhands. Except maybe use ACTUAL facts and work performance to make the determination. Not what will cause more drama.
And if you see one not really out performing the other, then go ahead and leave it as both 2nd stews. We could even go back to this past season of SY as an example where it worked. After Gabby left (don’t even get me started on that whole thing) and Scarlett was brought in, can you even imagine if Daisy would have given Trashley 2nd title over Scarlett? She would have annihilated that poor girl, purely based on her jealousy that Gary was giving her attention. But when Daisy told her NO, she hadn’t earned it due to her trashy behavior and overly competitive attitude, we suddenly had this new cooperative almost normal (still trashy) Ashley that worked well with Scarlett, despite the fact that she was insanely jealous and pissed off that Gary was falling all over her.
Okay so long story longer, perhaps having Nat as 2nd early in the season COULD have eliminated some of this competition, and who was doing and not doing what. Maybe that combined with a professional and capable chief stew.
Courtney points out that there was plenty of time to clean one fucking cabin. Kyle knows he purposely didn’t do it because he didn’t fucking feel like it. And Tash was too busy lying on her bed people pleasing Psycho.
Kyle lies through his crooked damned teeth and says “every time he went to clean the room, he was told (by Tash, worst CS ever) guests service comes first.” Yes Trashy CS Tash did tell Kyle that to make the excuse that it was okay to leave the kitchen a fucking disaster that night. This stupid excuse makes zero sense because the guests were at the beach !! Is Kyle really this fucked up or really this stupid??
Well Nat ain’t havin this fucking BS, and quickly points that out. Kyle sits there and looks dumbfounded. What an idiot. This would be a good time to bring up the ankle, Andy. And ask if he felt bad collecting his $1800 for doing NOTHING. Everyone clearly agrees with Nat. He certainly didn’t mind putting Dave on the hot seat for ten minutes.
Kyle now decides to apologize, and said he was wrong and could have gotten it done. Make up your mind moron. You can’t say you were right one second, then decide you were wrong a minute later.
Kind of makes you look like an insincere uncredible lying piece of shit, but whatever, dude.
They end up joking and being fine, because Nat knows how to state how she feels, she’s confident in her point, Kyle has no point, and has to suck it up and admit he’s a dip shit. Dude, bye.
Andy’s by-passing the ankle, but does manage to address Frank. Again the hypocrisy with Hannah. So Hannah was communicating via boat ipad (which wasn’t very smart) and Kyle was openly flirting and hanging on Frank during charter. Honestly, Kyle’s flirtation with Frank was really not unlike Hannah’s with that dude, if you ask me. Sandy of course defends her hypocrisy. She does have a point that everyone tattled on
Hannah, which was shitty. So she was chatting up a guest. Big fucking whoop. No one said one damned word, and they all covered for Kyle. Tash didn’t even correct him, not surprisingly.
Elena gets her two seconds of fame, and they bring her on literally with three minutes to go. I guess if you do the ratios, (takes me back to my mortgage days) she was on for one charter, due to Kyle’s fakery, and that mathematically equates to two minutes on the reunion.
She’s excited to be here, and Andy asks about her two Playboy Bunny costumes in her stash. Not surprisingly she’s quite overdressed for her 9:57 – 9:59 reuniontime slot. Her dress or top she has on has crystals hanging on it. She kind of reminds me of this chick I used to work with that wore formal type dresses to work. That’s so weird and reeks of desperation. One day she came to work looking like she was a bridesmaid. Formal cocktail style dress, even the hair, jewelry and shoes were all over the top. And no she wasn’t going anywhere after work. Everyone was asking her that. Our boss even commented to me later, he thought it was weird. Maybe she wanted a raise. Maybe she got it.
Having two of the same costume was due to first one not fitting. Okay so that makes sense. Or it also makes sense to have two, so the other stew can join you in wearing it.
Elena quickly destroys Reid’s pride, and admits she had a crush on Dave, and not Reid who she had been flirty with. She does give him a shout-out that he’s really cute, however she had her eye on Chef Dave. Who of course didn’t give her a second glance because he was still obsessed with Tash. Which is so sad. I hope he’s finally moved on from that and realizes she used him, and intentionally fucked with him.
Around the Zoom regrets – Kyle’s only regret is his fat roll hanging out? Nothing about the ankle lie, nothing about being a fucking slacker? Nothing about disrespecting Nat?? What a loser.
Dave makes a joke about failing at the ‘pancake mission.’ Hey Dave, if you’re reading this, check my recipe out!! He probably had like a gazillion bitches sending him their recipe. Mine’s the best though.
That’s a wrap on that one!! Who of this crew would we like to see back?? I would say everyone except Kyle and Trash!! I can’t imagine any Captain wanting her as their Chief stew after this debacle.
I’m sure even by now she’s knee deep in drama with this dude, or has broken up with him since reunion filming, and is back with the psycho texter. Or hitting up poor Dave. I honestly would not be surprised.
