Seems the deed between Jake and Rayna did NOT take place ? Like he couldn’t complete the task. I don’t think he “couldn’t go through with it” I think he wasn’t “able to go through with it” Big difference. Fraser is not sad about it.
Producers ask Rayna if they had sex. I don’t think she wants to give the details, so she just says
“I don’t want to talk about it.” That’s so nice of her.
Preference Meeting: Shellfish allergy, dairy allergy. Allergies are a pain for the chef.
Jake acts like he just now remembered that they sort of hooked up.
He says it was close– she says— ‘No. It wasn’t.’ She’s trying to be respectful about it.
Guess he has a problem in that department.
Fraser is complaining about too much work. Then Heather says there is a new stew coming. Then he complains about that. He feels that it will screw with the dynamic, it seems, since it is a friend and previous co-worker of Heather’s. And he’s already feeling left out with the Rayna and Jake situation. She overhears him bitching, Heather bitches back, and Heather is pissed and storms off.
He talks a little about his insecurities.
Jake tells his fiance about how he hooked ALMOST with Rayna. She seems annoyed but doesn’t really care. WEIRD.
Eddie goes to the wheelhouse. Lee is allowing his boy Eddie, the ‘First Officer’ to take the boat off of the dock. Good, he’ll have something to do.
Lee sees Wes texting and he’s ticked.
Eddie did OKAY. It’s a huge vessel, but it really didn’t seem to be THAT difficult. Just pushing some buttons and what not. Maybe they just made it look easy.
Lee and Eddie discuss Rayna’s ‘tude’ Eddie doesn’t tell him specifically what the issue is/was. But then again maybe he’s assuming Heather apologized and she’s over it?
Guests arrive –
Heather offers to the guests a vow renewing ceremony, where of course, Captain Sourpuss will need to officiate. When she discloses this info to him, he gets all cranky about it. With all due, Captain Lee, it doesn’t exactly seem like you’re overworked once the boat is in park, so I fail to see why he’s being such a dick to her about it. So if she would have came to him first, he would have said NO? No, he wouldn’t. Totally an ego thing. He just wanted to wave his dick around a little bit. Typical dude shit. No one cares about your dick, Captain Stubing. Get a grip.
“Huge No No.” Lee scolds her, and she doesn’t seem to care, which she shouldn’t.
Rachel is killing the lunch with no complaints.
Jake (I think it was Jake that told Wes ok to take lunch too, but maybe that was Eddie) makes a bad decision of letting Rayna and Wes take their break at the same time, with no one minding the jet skiers. Jake, the ‘Lead Deckhand’ was ALSO not minding the jet skiers. Lee sees them going too far out. He lets Jake and Eddie know. (the dudes in charge) Then Lee grumbles that if ‘one of them’ isn’t fucking up the other is ?’ Referring to Rayna and Wes. But their supervisor(s) told them to take their break. And their supervisors knew the guests were jet skiing ?
Is Captain Lee being like totally overbearing of the Deck Crew or is it just me? is he extra rude to Wes and Rayna or is it just me ??
Golden boy, Jake is Lead Deckhand. Dude didn’t mind bitching at everyone and being condescending AF and throwing his weight around, to feel important, in the beginning. (bitching at Rayna about a coffee cup, and to Wes about not doing something “fast” enough) Maybe he should have been training them instead. Or maybe he doesn’t know what the fuck he’s doing either. Tired of Rayna and Wes taking the heat constantly when their leaders suck. Also keep in mind that there’s no bosun. Isn’t there usually a bosun and three deckhands ? Here we just have playboy Jake, as the “Lead,” and Eddie who is supposed to be First Officer, which seems to entail doing absolutely nothing, except his little boat maneuvering earlier, and two deckhands. There seems to be a lack of leadership if you ask me. Also lack of one additional set of hands.
Why is Lee being such a micro manager? What is the big fucking deal about Eddie washing down the jet ski if he wasn’t doing anything? Jake does ask him if he needs a hand. Eddie says no. again dick waving. We know you have a dick Cap. Put it away and go find something constructive to do.
Lee doesn’t want him doing “menial” tasks. oh my God. Hire a Bosun then !!!
He calls him up to the wheelhouse where they gossip like the freaking Housewives for crissakes.
All three deckhands are gassing up the jet skis which seems weird. But maybe they’re done with everything else?
Eddie barks into the radio that in ten minutes they need to get into their blacks. Rayna rolls her eyes and Captain and Eddie can see from the wheelhouse and Eddie is acting like Lee’s pathetic fucking little lapdog. He’s like “did you see it? did you see it ??”
So stupid, seems like Eddie is acting like a turd to appease the Captain. I don’t know what the hell is going on, but the two of them together are annoying as hell. I know there’s a hierarchy on boats, but what the hell is with all of this superiority bullshit towards the deckhands ? Maybe that’s why their attitudes blow.
Rachel says last charter “SUCKED” (no pun intended — woman who sucked all of her meals through a straw) RACHEL’S FUNNY !!!
Sounded almost like a 6 million dollar man reference? “We must be bigger, better, faster, stronger, smarter…” She’s too young for 6 million dollar man – maybe she’s streaming it or something? (I almost said reruns but realized that made me sounded old.)
Jake and Speddie get summoned to the principal’s office. Goes on a rampage about eye rolling, (I’m tired of writing “eye rolling”) texting, and wearing headphones. Honestly though, Jake should know better than to be wearing headphones ? Are you kidding me? Clearly you can’t hear your radio nor what is going on around you ? I’m over this dude. No way he’s lead deckhand material.
Are we making TOO big of a deal of out eye rolling ? I’d roll my eyes at Lee and Eddie too, (when I didn’t think they were looking of course) I’m not saying eye rolling anymore ! I’m not !
I love Rayna helping Rachel in the kitchen, and loving it so much ! They’re so cute! What a duo ! Rayna and Rachel !!
Dinner drama – no cheese whatsoever can touch the lamb, or he’ll DIE. So if the dude just doesn’t LIKE cheese, and it’s just on the platter as a garnish? He still won’t eat it?
Now they’re waiting for a whole new protein main course to be cooked. The other guest wants chicken. (thought only poor people ate chicken?? – lol remember the charter where the guests where served chicken and that is what they said ? )
Guests are pissed – Captain is dining with them, so that makes it extra awkward. He’s making all kind of faces.
The unhappy guest is getting more unhappier by the second. The lamb is still being prepared and cooked. Heather probably shouldn’t be arguing with the guests about the cheese or no cheese. Heather and Rachel notice there was a misreading of the preference sheet – so THAT’s not good. But Heather did apologize.
Since when did apologies become not good enough? It takes a lot to say, ‘wow yeah I fucked up.’ Some more than others. Some people won’t even say it at all, no matter how badly they fucked up.
The ticked off guest says that she’s ‘done for the night.’ Like she’s not eating at all? sorry she’s acting childish.
Rachel also comes up and apologizes about the misunderstanding, and since she’s a one woman comedy act, makes joke after joke about being hangry. The other guests are laughing, but the pissed off guest won’t even CRACK a smile. I don’t think she liked it when Rachel jokingly said she’ll get it right next time so no one has to be cranky. She actually gave her a death stare. Like i was literally scared.
Captain Lee won’t let the you-know-what go. Lee is telling Eddie that people’s behavior is for a reason.
Rayna DID address with Eddie her concerns. Now he’s telling him to find out NOW! I feel like they want to reintroduce Heather’s inappropriate word usage, since Rayna is not over it.
I also feel like this whole convo is between Lee and Eddie staged (imagine that!) because Lee knows what is going on. I am foreseeing this coming up and being more of a problem for Heather. I don’t want to do a spoiler but I thought she got fired? I think there are only two charters left, so not sure how this will play out. Maybe she just won’t be returning on Below Deck in the future.
Nice of Lee to compliment Rayna. But she didn’t really take it seriously. She thinks it’s playing with her head. She is discussing this with Wes and the radios are on. So Lee and Eddie are listening. She’s asked to cut strawberries and she’s upset.
Jake gets “naked drunk” next week it looks like, and dons a red lacy thong. This dude, I don’t know, looks like he jumps into shallow water too ?
