Episode starts off with Mary’s issue (not Jen’s – Mary’s are more interesting now, after all this was to be the main “story line”) with the church and this dude that took $300g from his house (or sold his house, I hate to nitpick, but they never really make that clear.) to donate to Mary/The Church. I tuned in few minutes late, not sure if I missed anything in the first 1 – 2 minutes.
This church sounds very cult like to me. Meredith is jumping to her defense, and getting all worked up again, making a ton of weird faces, and comparing Mary’s situation to Jen’s.
Lisa is telling everyone about what she has been hearing about Mary, and what that dude told her about Mary demanding a large sum of money from her. She is really wanting to convince everyone that Mary’s church is not on the up and up, and demands money from the parishioners. And they all consider Mary God, there’s that.
Meredith goes on and on, having a meltdown, about how she tried to tell everyone last year about Jen, and no one wanted to listen, and she has hurt ‘her family’ (Brooks) and we don’t have facts about Mary, so they need to stop talking about it … (but to be fair, there were no ‘facts’ about Jen either, only gossip, and the gossip turned out to be true, just sayin.)
Lisa confronts Mary in her bedroom. We’re getting subtitles from outside the door. Mary completely denies that her parishioners are to consider Mary as God, and deflects by bringing up Jen’s situation. We do get cameras in the room for a few minutes. Mary doesn’t get how Lisa is taking Cameron’s word over hers. She says that “people lie.” I am not convinced at all that this isn’t all true.
Should Mary be shocked ? If this has been the buzz she should have expected it be brought up.
Flash to Jen freaking out with Lisa at the Fresh Wolf photo shoot (not to be confused with the actual event, which she wasn’t invited to) about people being on food stamps and fearing for their lives that were involved with Mary’s church. Mary says ‘this is why Jen is where she is, and why she’s sitting here today.’
Why do we have to keep comparing Mary to Jen? As if they can’t both suck ?? and both be guilty as charged? could it be that they’re both doing wrong shady dishonest things in their respective establishments?
Mary and Jennie kiss and make up about their quarrel from what seems like six months ago now, and presents to Jennie (can’t think of word I want) a smoothing over gift of (Christian) Louis Vuitton glittery camo booties (that I really like — Mary, I wear a 6) Jennie says “you didn’t need to buy me a gift ??” Mary then tells her that she already had them. (“they were already boughten”) Jennie doesn’t seem offended.
So we’re doing that thing where they don’t film a major occurrence but we’re hearing about it in a recap. Maybe camera guys had called it a night by this point. Later Lisa and Mary came pouncing into Heather’s room with more gifts, and they all got giddy and drunk off of more free Louis Vuitton being passed around.
Whitney really has a lot of pink lip gloss on, for just waking up and being still in bed in her pajamas.
So apparently Mary came armed with more of this random brand new Louis Vuitton shit that she’s giving to everyone she argued with, or to the ones that are believing the gossip that her ‘church’ is a money pilfering and brainwashing enterprise.
Heather’s sister Nancy that she has barely seen or talked to in 20 years that decided not to do the Mormon thing arrives at the house. They go out for breakfast with her husband.
Nancy does seem bitter, which I don’t blame her for. Heather sorry girl, you SHOULD feel guilty. So their parents even disowned her, over religion, which is something I cannot wrap my head around. Nancy is being nicer about it than I probably would. But I think she’s just happy to be visiting with her sister, and they plan to have a relationship going forward.
Meredith booked a “jet” to get home, so who all is jetting? ? is it for everyone? Does Bravo pay for all of this shit?
“I love it” Lisa says, about Meredith’s over packing.
Meredith needs to face the fact that this cult thing with Mary is looking probable. Like that Cameron dude, at Lisa’s Fresh Wolf party, who is sadly no longer with us, did seem very convincing. Too bad he’s not around now to give his input. I would assume there would be plenty of “documentation” to support this claim.
Ironic that Mary had him refi his house and give her 300g for a medical procedure, when he’s now dead of cancer.
So does everyone (Jennie Heather and Lisa) seem to be like okay with Mary, now since she showered them with Louis Vuitton.?
They all have a sit down in the morning (Cameron that’s his name) about Cameron, and the church/cult gossip. Turns into a total ‘he said she said… ’
Whitney/Nancy Drew/CIS Salt Lake is at again. She thinks Lisa planted the seed, ie intentionally had Cameron pull Meredith aside at her event, assuming Meredith would start to discuss it amongst the crew and off we go.
Meredith gives Mary the floor and is given the opportunity to explain why Cameron may be going around telling people that she and Grandpappy extorted $300,000 from him. She says she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation. Code for, I don’t actually HAVE an explanation. Because it more than likely DID happen, I will have to check to see if any of his family members are speaking out about this. Then Mary looks at Whitney crooked, and Whitney asks why she’s looking at HER, then Oh my Freaking God, they start arguing about “I was driving CARPOOL !!!” then it goes left from there, and did Pastor Mary EVER explain the reasoning behind why this guy MIGHT be walking around telling people this ‘alleged’ lie ??? NOPE. I don’t even get WHY she’s mad at Whitney over this. Whitney just received the info from Meredith, and Lisa was the one that brought it up last night !! Lisa claims SHE gets blamed for everything, no not really, actually Whitney gets blamed for everything. Mary is making no sense, I mean talk about DEFLECTION !!!
Whitney wants to know about Lisa’s complete and total 180 about Mary. She says that’s it’s a ‘great question.’ But did she answer this great question? Did I miss it ? No she deflected by bitching at Whitney for her accusations of manipulating this whole situation. I find that when someone says to you, “that’s a good question” it means they don’t have an answer. That’s why it’s a good question. And that is exactly what happened here. Lisa B seems to be playing the Lisa VP game, actually.
I gotta be honest, I’m having trouble following who’s still mad at who right now. But I really like Heather’s pearly hoop earrings.
Lisa’s a ‘New Yorker’– didn’t know that, but not that important. She’s a Utah-er now. But she still needs to answer the question. She goes on and on that if she’s going to talk behind your back, she’s going to tell you she’s going to do it…(then it wouldn’t be talking behind someone’s back would it ?) and she would have your back ‘if you stop stabbing me in mine.’ That ramble made very little sense. Her only answer is that she was “processing” things.
Mary is pissed, that gifts are being brought up now in front of Whitney, who did NOT receive a gift. Mary is still holding the no call back grudge.
Lisa is STILL not answering the question as to why the complete change of heart ? other than the ‘processing. ‘ She didn’t seem to be ‘processing’ as she was spilling it around the fire.
So Mary gave these very pricey gifts to Heather, Jennie, Lisa and Meredith. This is very very strange. So are these like hush gifts??
Heather is Mary’s next victim. Wait thought Heather was in the cool club? ? She got a $5,000 bag ?? Heather yells as she’s going downstairs that Mary admitted that she made this dude giver her 300 grand? (I think). She again deflects to Jen Shah’s situation.
Mary just sits there in her leather newsboy hat as everyone is yelling and screaming and fighting over her.
She does look sort of like she thinks she’s worth all of this commotion.
Heather yells that everyone is afraid of Mary, and no one is saying what they want to say. This really does seem like a huge mind game, circle jerk, fucking cluster going on right now.
Here come the tears. Here comes the preaching. Does she think this is her brainwashed congregation right now?
Now more tears, and denial from Mary. But let’s do the math here, she just handed 4 people like $10,000 in gifts/hush money/ Clearly there is A LOT of income received as a minister in a church.
Meredith is going off again to Jennie about her love and need to defend Mary, and how we don’t KNOW THE TRUTH and this is her faith her job… and we can’t spread these viscous lies…. AND OH MY GOD.
I don’t think Jennie really CARES AT ALL. She just can’t wait to get those LV booties home before Mary changes her mind and takes them back.
So what DID Mary have to say ?? didn’t seem like she had much to say ?? she’s kind of avoided answering all of the questions.
She calls Heather chubby and makes a ‘Mexican drug dealer’ comment. None of this is looking great for Mary, Heather tries to apologize and Mary calls her a liar.
Now poor Heather and Whitney have to ‘fly commercial’ and take their shoes off. . .
Preview – Lisa totally flips on Mary that no one in her congregation, has any clue why they’re there , and what they’re praying/paying for…
