I really wanted to get into this one again so I can start including it in my blog. I think it will be a nice change up from the Housewife shows, and all the shading and arguing constantly, because I do really like fashion. (well on second thought, there may be some shading on here as well)
Honestly I have not watched it in YEARS, like forever.
I watched the season where Christian was on and won, and maybe a season or two after that? I don’t remember.
I turned it on a little late and wasn’t sitting and watching at first so I missed the very beginning.
Christian is SUCH a little bitch right ?? like can he not say anything positive to the contestants when he’s doing his rounds? I think he gets them more worked up and nervous with his negative energy and commentary. And like bows are in, that is why they are all doing bows, most likely.
Why doesn’t anyone say to this little chipmunk, dude, bows are like trendy now, that’s why I’m using a bow !! shut it.
and who doesn’t like bows anyway ????
I think the pressure is so high for the designers, they get basic instructions, only, of what to design right ? I mean, they have to have ideas, inspirations, sew the shit together, (that’s the most impressive part of all, I can barely sew on a button) make sure it fits their models, deal with Christian’s harassment, aka constructive criticism. It’s A FLIPPING LOT !!!
Then they always put them into teams, so they have to deal with these other personalities and opinions of people they just met.
If anything, this makes me like appreciate fashion and clothing even more. When I’m looking online, or in a store, and I’m all, this is cute, oh this is cute, awwww this is CA— UTE, I don’t think too much about how it ACTUALLY got there. I am interested in fashion trends though also, not just the clothing items themselves. “They” always say trends start in Europe and get to America much later.
I always wondered about it. It’s not that I didn’t really believe it. But I experienced it first hand when I was in Italy three years ago, the women were ALL wearing the loose high waisted capri length pants and jeans, that have just become the thing here in the States fairly recently. (the 90’s look) I just CANNOT believe the high waisted jeans are back honestly. I’m glad the super duper low low rise is out, but I never imagined young girls would be wearing these 80’s/ early 90’s looking jeans now. But that is the thing with fashion, it alllll comes around again.
I always HATE the part when they’re getting eliminated. This is why I don’t really like the competition shows. I’m too much of a softie I guess. But I am determined to stick with this, because again, I love fashion, and I’m doing this blog thing, so this will be a nice change from all the cackling and stirring up trouble for the sake of “story lines” on the Housewife shows.
Although it seems like they are already getting a little catty on here. So maybe NOT that much of a change of pace ? Does anyone have a favorite already? I’ll have to rewatch the first 15 or 20 so I can get to know the contestants a little more.
Christian says when he’s buzzing around pestering them, they should appreciate it more, or something like that. Has he gotten a little full of himself ? Or a lot full of himself ? I’ll have to research what exactly he is doing these days, besides harassing the contestants on Project Runway.
So we had our first elimination ? This cute blonde Caycee chick, who was trying to do a “coat dress” and didn’t get it quite completed. (another 90’s style) So sad, can you imagine the excitement of making it as a contestant, and getting eliminated on the first night ?
Looked up a little bio on her, holy schmokes, she’s designed for Michelle Williams and Drew Barrymore! Not too shabby !!
We will see what next week brings…
